Titan reports significant turnouts for ECOOP
Titan Poker, the largest online poker room on Playtech's
iPoker Network, is seeing large playing fields in the
first four days of its lucrative European Championship
of Online Poker (ECOOP) tournament series.
In the first ECOOP event, a $200 + $15 No Limit Hold'em
event staged November 30, 1 049 players participated,
driving up the total prizes awarded to $209 800 - well
above the $150 000 guaranteed prize pool. The event was
won by majstorex, a Titan Poker player from Slovenia.
ECOOP event 2, a $100 000 guaranteed Omaha Hi/Lo event
staged on December 1, attracted 540 players who vied for
the $23 000 first prize. The winner of the tournament
was BSinclair, a Titan Poker player from France.
Prizes awarded at ECOOP event 3 totaled $372 750, again
surpassing the guaranteed prize pool. 1 491 players were
in the running, with Addict1968, a player from the
Netherlands, taking home the first prize of over $78
000.
The ECOOP's second Omaha event, a Pot Limit tournament
with re-buys, was staged on December 3. 672 players
participated in the tournament, increasing the payout to
$120 200. The event was won by player LuckyPlayCoolie.
ECOOP tournaments will continue nightly until the final
event on December 9, which will carry a $1 000 000
guaranteed prize pool. The guaranteed prize pool for all
ECOOP tournaments is set at $2 500 000, but with the
keen interest and participation in the series, prizes
are expected to go higher.
