ACTION PACKED START TO THE WEEK
7 December 2007
NPL's $15 000 buy-in event starts today
The National Poker League is kick-starting the week
today (Monday) with the opening of the Las Vegas Open, a
$15 000 buy-in No Limit Hold 'em gathering of champions
in the world's best known gambling mecca.
High rollers from around the planet are scheduled to
contest the event and test their mettle against the best
players around, and in addition to the registered
players, the winners from each stop on the NPL tour,
including the Asia Open, Australian Open, United Kingdom
Open and Vegas Open will all be competing, with entry
part of their prizes from these events.
Satellites with buy-ins of $1 060 have also produced
winning competitors for the big game, which was last
year won by Keith Tilston.
Plans are in hand to televise the Las Vegas Open on the
INHD network with Las Vegas radio personality Dave Farra
and top poker player Kirk Morrison compering the event.
