Betting show enhances appeal of Earls Court gaming spectacular
 

The organiser of the International Gaming Expo, Clarion Gaming, has announced the addition to the 26th-28th London event of The Betting Show - flagship event for the UK, Irish and European bookmaking industry.

The Betting Show, usually held in October in the Birmingham National Exhibition Centre, is to relocate and become a regular feature at London’s Earls Court Exhibition Centre as a dedicated component within the 20 000 visitor International Gaming Expo.

Clarion is retaining The Betting Show’s existing business format. The 2010 edition will keep its own identity and structure including an integral two-day programme of workshops and seminars in the Earls Court Conference Centre.

Julian Graves, managing director of Clarion Gaming, said: “The decision to incorporate The Betting Show was taken following extensive consultation. We now look forward to establishing the sector as a key component within what will be the most comprehensive betting, gaming, gambling and coin-op exhibition in the world. There is no other event that can bring together the best brains in low stake high volume gaming, betting, amusements, lotteries, remote and land based casino gaming all at the same time and venue.”

The move has received firm backing from betting and regulatory organisations who will continue to endorse the event, including the Association of British Bookmakers (ABB), e-Commerce and Online Gaming Regulation and Assurance (eCOGRA), the European Sports Security Association (ESSA), the Independent Bookmakers Association (IBA) and the Remote Gambling Association (RGA).

“The synergies between the Betting Show and the International Gaming Expo are huge," explained Graves. "Many existing IGE exhibitors offer betting products and a number of companies exhibit at both events. Combining the attendance of IGE visitors who have indicated a strong interest in betting with Betting Show delegates will deliver exhibitors an audience in excess of 5 000 buyers and influencers drawn from throughout the 100-plus jurisdictions represented on the show floor.”
