ITALIAN LOTTERY JACKPOT STILL NOT WON
14 August 2009
Tuesday's draw does not produce a winner;
jackpot now Euros 131 million
The frenetic action on the Italian Superenalotto is set
to continue this week after Tuesday's draw failed to
produce a winner, boosting the jackpot to an all time
high of Euros 131 million.
The really, really
lucky winner will need to match six numbers in a field
of 1-to-90 at the next drawing on Thursday to win what
is arguably the world's largest lottery jackpot.
If there's a winner Thursday, he or she will
overtake the Spanish player who won Euros 126.2 million
on May 10 this year in a multiple-country lottery.
Italy's Superenalotto jackpot was last won in
January. Its largest previous jackpot to date was Euros
100.7 million won in October 2008.
