PROBABILITY TEAMS UP WITH ORBIS
7 August 2009
Agreement widens the scope for Probability's
growing inventory of mobile games
Management at mobile gambling specialist firm
Probability plc was in confident mood as the week ended,
having inked an agreement with Orbis Technology which
allows all Orbis OpenBet and Fixed Odds games customers
to “seamlessly deploy” Probability’s mobile games,
including bingo, poker and slots.
The deal makes
it possible for the entire Probability offering of more
than thirty mobile games to be made available to Orbis
customers, which include many of the biggest names in
onlline betting and gaming, including SkyBet, PaddyPower
and Ladbrokes.
Probability CEO Charles Cohen
commented: “For Orbis customers looking for a quick and
easy way to extend their existing on-line service into
mobile, we now offer a solution with technology they
already use, plus seamless operation with existing
back-office and payments services. Regulator approval is
also greatly simplified for each new site and Orbis
customers can utilise our real-time CRM and other
services as well."
Cohen will also be pleased
with his company's first quarter results, released in
conjunction with news of the Orbis agreement. For the
period covering 1 April to 30 June 2009, Probability’s
net gaming revenues rose to approximately GBP 1.25
million (Q4 2008: GBP 1.12 million).
The company
added 67 650 new customers (Q4 2008: 49 506) to take its
total number of players for the year to 248 667.
“The trend to increased volume in recruitment and
yield from customers is expected to continue into the
summer months, supported by planned major game launches,
including 'Battleship' and 'The X Factor' slots games,”
a Probability spokesman noted.
The company
reported a 60 percent rise in total net gaming revenues
for its financial year to GBP 5 056 236.
The
results follow earlier news (see previous InfoPowa
report) that Probability had entered into a multi-year
partnership with Dragonfish, 888.com's B2B division, to
develop and execute opportunities for mobile gaming and
lottery services.
“Since the start of March, we
have experienced a strong upswing in customer activity
both in terms of utilisation and new customer
registrations spearheaded by the launch of Grease slots
across all networks and to our player base of over
400,000 customers,” said Cohen.
“This game was an
immediate hit, taking two million individual bets by new
and existing players in the first month alone.
“This momentum has continued into April. Average daily
net gaming revenues in the first half of April of 2009
was approximately 22 percent higher than the equivalent
daily average across the whole of January of 2009. New
customer acquisitions were 12 percent higher on the same
basis.
“Most encouragingly, the average total
deposits per cash player per day was 83 percent higher
in the first half of April of 2009 than the equivalent
figure for the whole of January of 2009."
