CELEB POKER ON THE MOVE
7 August 2009
Boss Media's loss is iPoker's gain
The popular and well established online poker site
CelebPoker.com is to switch networks, moving from Boss
Media's International Poker Network to Playtech's iPoker
network on August 12, 2009.
Management at
CelebPoker recently completed a strategic review of the
business and concluded that the iPoker operation would
present better opportunities for the company and its
players, in terms of both technology and player
liquidity improvements.
Immediate player benefits
include wider competition from iPoker's reputed 35 000
registered cash players and becoming part of
CelebPoker’s VIP Club, claimed to be one of the most
aggressive and competitive rewards programs available.
In making the change, CelebPoker will be in a position
to offer a new tournament schedule with large cash prize
pools and progressive jackpots, and sponsored packages
to play in global poker events.
CelebPoker
founder Dave Donovan says: “Since 2003, we have always
tried to offer our players the best possible poker
experience available on the internet. After many
successful years with Boss Media, we felt that the game
had moved on and we needed to offer our players more.
"The iPoker network is held in very high regard
by our valued customers. So we listened to them.
“This represents a great move and a major step
forward for CelebPoker. Not only will players benefit
from monthly jackpots that are 20 times greater than
before, but some of the promotions and sponsored
packages on offer are breathtaking.”
