BEST GAMES DELISTS FROM PLUS MARKET
22 August 2008
"Not in the best interests of shareholders," says
online gambling firm
Best Games Holdings Limited has announced its withdrawal
from the UK PLUS exchange after a company review this
week decided that maintaining a quote on PLUS was "not
in the best interests of the shareholders."
The directors of the company felt that the cost of being
on PLUS and the compliance requirements imposed are not
necessary for the development of company's business and
its future financing. The company will therefore
withdraw from the market at the close of business on 5
September 2008.
"The Directors are conscious that this may make it
harder to deal in the shares," a notice from Best Games
remarks. "However, your Board is of the opinion that
this proposed course of action is in the best interest
of shareholders as we plan for the
future."
Shareholders have 10 days to object to the decision,
said CEO Henrik Magnuson.
BestGames Holdings Ltd was launched in 2006 as an
independent investor in internet gaming related
companies and stocks. It currently operates two brands,
BestPoker.com and BestBingo.com, which mainly target the
European market, whilst also attracting customers
worldwide.
The two brands together encompass three major gaming
areas: Poker, Casino and Bingo. The Group also offers
the
possibility for mobile gambling.
BestPoker.com, which is a fast growing online
poker-room, is part of the Ongame Network, which boasts
about 12 million customers. BestBingo.com is the newest
contribution to the group, offering its customers online
bingo and various casino games.
