With a UK launch imminent, Jaxx UK teams up with Newcastle United

The UK branch of German betting group Jaxx, has announced that it will be the official betting partner of British football club Newcastle United when it launches next month in a deal with a life of two years.

Mark Irvine, managing director of Jaxx UK Limited, said: “The launch of the Jaxx brand in the UK is all set for the beginning of September, which ties in perfectly with the new Premiership season.”

Irvine has planned a co-branded Jaxx and Newcastle United site which will be launched shortly and offer specific betting propositions for fans of the club.

Jaxx Germany has been around as an Internet lottery agency of the Fluxx group since 1998, expanding into other areas of Internet betting as it grew. Today JAXX operates several lottery and betting services on the Internet, including Germany's largest gaming and gambling portal JAXX.DE, with a customer base of over a million customers.

The UK subsidiary was established at the end of last year with a registered office in London, and has held a Bookmaker's Permit for arranging sports betting since the start of February 2007. The company recently scored a coup by partnering with AOL UK on sportsbetting services (see previous InfoPowa reports)

JAXX UK has indicated that it is planning to offer casino products for those jurisdictions where this is legal.
