CONFERENCE CORNER
17 April 2009
Sad news from Malta
Clarion Gaming's Summer iGaming Networking and Learning
(SiGNAL 2009) conference scheduled for St. Julian’s on
the Mediterranean island of Malta on May 19-21st, has
been cancelled.
Apparently the global economic
recession has resulted in reduced bookings, forcing the
cancellation of what appeared to be a promising
opportunity to learn and network.
Key focuses
were on an interesting industry exhibition space, small
'on demand' group discussions, informative sessions on
customer retention and KYC and site visits to locally
based companies. Speakers ranged from Betfair's top
European Head of Compliance Roger Parkes and CEO of
eGaming 2.0 Alex Czajkowski, to former LGA head and CEO
of Random Consulting Mario Galea and affiliate marketing
exec Income Access CEO Nicky Senyard.
