After five-and-a-half years in the hotseat
Daniel O'Mahoney is leaving Irish sportsbetting group
Daniel O'Mahoney, the CEO of Ireland's largest land and
Internet independent bookie firm, Boylesports, is on the
move to parts unknown after five-and-a-half years in the
hotseat, the company announced in a terse press release
this week.
The company statement advised only
that O'Mahoney was stepping down for personal reasons,
and that company chairman David Chapman and managing
director and founder John Boyle will be taking a more
active role in the day to day running of the company
until a successor has been found.
Boyle said;
“On behalf of Boylesports I would like to thank Daniel
for the contribution he has made to the company during
his tenure. We are all sorry to see him depart. Over the
last ten years Boylesports has experienced significant
growth while maintaining the highest possible standards.
Daniel played an important role in this success over the
last five and a half years. We respect Daniel’s decision
and we wish him the very best for the future. We expect
to announce his successor shortly and we look forward to
the continued growth and success for Boylesports in the
months and years ahead.”
