BoylePoker pros show how to turn a serious
profit
Earlier this year online poker website Boyle Poker.com
pro Peter Murphy embarked on his Multiplier Challenge -
an attempt to turn a starting bankroll of $100 into $10
000 in 11 weeks or less (see previous InfoPowa report)
playing online poker. Whilst there were those who opined
that the project was perhaps too ambitious, Boyle
announced the successful conclusion of the attempt this
week.
Confounding the sceptics, Murphy required
only nine weeks to reach the $10 000 target, and he
added the cherry on the top by not only completing his
challenge 2 weeks early, but also winning a further $2
000 in the $250 000 guaranteed prize pool event over the
weekend, bringing total winnings over the nine week
period to $12 172 and change.
Another BoylePoker
regular, Adrian McCarthy managed to outshine even
Murphy's success - he turned $100 into $135 000 in just
10 days, taking down the $20 buy-in Sit n Go Jackpot for
$35 000 and following this with winnings of $100 000 in
the site's $2.5 million guaranteed tournament!
Paul Spillane, head of poker at Boyle Sports, said,
“What a fantastic achievement, not just for Peter but
Adrian too. It was a real rollercoaster ride but we were
always confident he had the skill and discipline to
complete the challenge and are thrilled that he did.
Congratulations to both of them.”
