CONFERENCE CORNER
10 April 2009
Madrid in July for the Gaming Executive
Summit Europe 2009
The capital city of Spain, Madrid, will be the setting
for the 2009 Gaming Executive Summit Europe between July
7 - 9 this year, held in the comfortable and convivial
surroundings of the Eurostars Madrid Tower.
Now
in its third year, this high level conference is
regarded by many executives as the industry’s defining
management event. The 2009 agenda agenda will be taking
a close look at the relationships between virtual and
real world gambling and appropriate strategies to get
the best out of both. Delegates will be given an
analytical perspective on diverse strategies, backed by
case history studies on convergance across a national,
regional and pan-European landscape.
Latin
America and its potential and challenges will also be
addressed, and the future of the industry in general
will be debated in open and frank discussions.
The final day of the conference has been given over to
workshops examining emerging markets, starting with a
critical assessment of Russia’s move to shut down all
casinos and slot machine parlours outside of four remote
gaming zones from July 2009. Eastern Europe’s emergence
as a major area of interest for gaming operators will be
sure to attract attention, as will the latest
legislative views and news from EU experts in Brussels.
