Top poker pro beats out a field of 238 players
Top poker pro J.C.Tran showed his cool professionalism
in a tense World Poker Tour tournament at the Bellagio
this week, beating several other key players in a
starting field of 238 to take home a fat $272 320
winner's paycheck and a victor's bracelet.
Tran won Event 4, the $3 000 buy-in No-Limit Hold'em
competition, after a heads up struggle with runner-up
Jonathan Little, who pocketed $146 760.
In event three, the $2 500 buy-in No Limit Hold 'em
clash, Jared Hamby took down Jeff Schulman to collect
the winner's spoils of $223 780. Schulman proved to a
tough and skilled opponent but had to be content with
the runner up's prize of $122 465.
