My online slots videos (plus UK AWPs)

Would make Vin Diesel blush that finish at 11:00 Chop. Watched that with a fat smile on me face. Ta.
If you're not on fire when you cross the finishing line, you're not doing it right.

For anyone who's watched the above video, and was wondering about the 'mystery fruit machine' that can be seen in the back of a crappy old mobile phone video where me and Mrs Chopley are playing pool together (mobile phone video quality in 2004 was..... not good), rather amazingly, someone over at Desert Island Fruits was able to positively identify it. (I couldn't for the life of me identify it, hence asking the question in the video.)

Turns out it's a £25 jackpot BFM machine from the time, and it's emulated, albeit only with a 'classic' layout.

Playing the video alongside the machine running in the emulator, when combined with a flyer of the machine, shows that this is indeed the correct machine - quite the spot!

I do like it when these little mysteries are solved :)

A mate of mines sister once had her picture taken at a venue and in the background was a coronation street cluedo clone.

After quizzing her where it was she couldn’t remember as she was rather intoxicated!! But she knew she’d been out in my home town on a works Xmas bash.

As these were fairly useful to a player back in the day if they weren’t being checked every hour by other players I set about trying to find it.

I knew it wasn’t in any of the town centre pubs/clubs or any of the outskirt places as I conducted a fresh check shortly after.

It was a mystery for a fair while despite my extensive searching!!

That was until I was out for a meal with family and friends in a hotel/restaurant which I knew didn’t have any machines in from previous checks.

As I wandered from the table to the toilets which were on a lower level I walked past a function room and there it was!!!! Switched off of course!!

Checked it periodically every now and again and never caught it turned on over the next few weeks until I thought fuck it next time I’ll sneak in and turn it on myself.

The following week I popped in for a pint, wandered down stairs only to be greeted by talking and music.

About fucking time I thought and was greeted by glowing lights in the corner!!

But unfortunately it was the glowing lights of a poxy quiz machine!!!

Good times!!!

I used to routinely ask friends to send me pictures of any fruit machines they came across on a night out, for anything that might be worth a visit - it would yield decent results with surprising frequency for locations that were outside my usual scanning range.

When a mate came over to the IOM to visit me (probably around 2014 or so, at a guess), I told him to take pictures of the fruit machines on the ferry on his way over in case there were any cheats I could tell him for his return journey, turned out the ferry had two 'flickers' on it (video on the channel about those), I taught him the method whilst he was here and he made a decent wedge of cash out of them on his way home, covered his travel costs and most of his spends!

This is a sort of follow-on video to the previous video on my channel, where I have a deeper dive into the MYSTERY MACHINE that could be seen in the background of me and Mrs Chopley playing pool.

So I talk a bit about Hot Rod and its proper physical bagatelle game that was incorporated into the cabinet, and also take a look right back into the early 90s for a machine with a similar sort of gimmick made by Barcrest, called Gamball.

Quite a nostalgic video from the archives, back to November 2012 for this one. Jackpot Party sent out a 100% match offer, up to £200, to all their customers, on 20xB WR. (To celebrate their second birthday.) We all remember nice things like that, right?

I took the full bonus so that gave me £400 to wager £4000. This video includes my epic 1689x win on Bruce Lee, which back in the gentler days of 2012, was considered a pretty major win!

I really miss Jackpot Party, great place to play, with live chat and hosts, a fine selection of WMS slots, and the splendid Jackpot Party Progressive round.

This was back in the day when I would routinely stay up playing to 1am or 2am in the morning, with a generous quantity of alcohol on board, excitedly waving my camcorder around.

Do you remember when online slots were good? Do you remember when an online casino could feel like a familiar and pleasant place to hang out, with reps and regular players whose names you got to know? Do you remember 'slippers pls Glinda' in the chat channel? Do you remember regular bonus offers with sensible wagering? Do you remember a happier, gentler time?

If so, you probably remember Jackpot Party. Back to 2012 for this one.

LOL...I played at JPP for a while, great site. Never did get Brucie's 20 spins. The chat - I used to turn it off when saddos appeared sprinkling 'lucky dust' when someone boasted they'd landed a feature. For me gambling is mostly a solitary activity and requires concentration not distraction from stupid chat streams where the ultimate objective was to create a 'community' to encourage players to stay longer and lose more, kinda like those moronic joined-up Party Balloon sort of AWPs where 3 lemons would be lined up (not on the reels) and all stop playing when someone went 'up the top'. Fucking hell, I never played those but it was butt-clenchingly embarrassing and cringeworthy to walk past people sitting by them zoned out by the futile inane things.

That was about 18 years ago I don't know if they are still a thing nowadays but seeing your Party Balloon slot you played in the other JPP video reminded me of them. I agree though, the nostalgic days when a good honest bonus with reasonable wagering would be offered. Give me JPP, the Viper 32Red and a Wagerworks IGT Alderney casino and those three would do me for life, I'd never play Bonanza again....

I quite like chat channels at online casinos, Tombola still has one and so does 3Dice, and of course Jackpot Party had one back in the day. Yes some of it can be a bit cringe but it's a sense of community in a way.

The Party Time multiplayer machines were highly amusing, with OAPs convinced they'd worked out some sort of 'secret' way to press the buttons to get the top game, because once their false teeth fell out at the same time as getting a win and it went up to the top.

Sorry I haven't been around recently.

This is why.

Sigh. (My brother has forwarded me this.)

My dad's house is still caught in legal limbo, we can't sell it, but we're responsible for it, so we're having to maintain the insurance on the property and apparently we're going to have to pay council tax this year as well (albeit at a discounted rate, which is very generous, lols.....).

And now we have a guest!

A few times I came home drunk and played on there and joined in with the chat. It felt like I needed to be drunk to be on their level.

I even done the whole "nooo, 3rd bubble flew away :(" and the grannies would reply "so sry hun maybe next time gl x"

I actually really enjoyed it and my deposit lasted the rest of the night as I was taking so long between spins lol, but I do think you need to be drunk.

First new video for a few weeks, covering an old Barcrest AWP that didn't cheat on Skill Cash so really good players could empty it. Obviously this wasn't allowed to continue, so Barcrest rechipped it to cheat the player.

One of my fruit machine emulation's 'most wanted', which up until now has only existed in classic layout form, now has a DX for it (DX layouts use real artwork/photos/flyer scans etc to look like the real machine).

Quite a nostalgic one for me this, which I covered in detail in my original video when the classic layout was released, also linked below.

And here's the original video I made about this machine.

Just a bit of fun with fruit machines turning up in the wrong time or place, the most recent example that finally pushed me into making this video being the series 'One Day' on Netflix.

Slightly amazingly this one got through the YouTube censor-o-tron without a copyright strike.

A look back at a family of hugely successful fruit machines that were produced from the early to mid 1990s, ACE's 'Hidden Treasures' machines - includes me catching one of the bonkers streaks these things could do (around £60 on a £6 jackpot) on camera.

Nice vid Chop ::D

Grand national was one of my fav games, loved it. At 44:50 the cancel button flashes, and then you press start and it gives 1 nudge for a single bar win. Can u remember what happens if you press cancel there? :D I cannot.

I never knew any of the "cheats" existed on the old ACE machines - many a cigarette smoke-infused spanking was had in the arcades of Sheffield, back in the day...

Ace Emptiers were my first ever exploit and what a beauty it was. Not Play it Again but the later machines with the 'free' lines wins.

Downside was so many jammed token mechs, a lot of scrutiny from fellow pub go-ers and "Mug punters" and drinking and smoking away most of our profits.

We committed so many hours and drove here there and everywhere doing these, at one point, I had about 12 pint glasses on my window sill full to the top with £1 coins, along with bags of tokens which I made mental notes where they could be used. In the end could empty cash tubes without needing money, just the tokens we'd accrued.

If I'd been older and wiser and more restrained at the time, could have got rich from these as they were literally everywhere.

Even most pubs to start with were 'happy' to pay out a £50 IOU lol.
