Bryan is it possible to change the forum settings so we can edit our own posts indefinitely? I hate reading my posts just to find out hours later that I made some unforgivable grammar mistakes and not being able to edit them.

I have had the same thoughts many times Balth
And mostly the faults are too silly to be bothering a mod about..
I would really like to have a longer time.. mostly a week would be plenty in my case

I would rather do this as a user group permission, as in Meister Members and above have x amount of time to make changes. The reason why is that evil SEO or spam dweebs come in make an initial post, and then at some point later return and add spam links etc. without being detected.
As for a user group permission, I would have to look into this.
I wouldn't of thought people editing there posts is a good idea to long after theyve made them espeshally if there calling casinos rouges and coming back later to sabertage threds under the pretens off changing bad grammer.

Obviously Bryan decides how things are going to be here but I can speak to what is technically possible or not.
Yes, it is possible. It's just an option we set in the back end to decide how long after posting a given group can edit their posts.
That said I would be STRONGLY against changing things to something such as you've described. I believe that by doing so you would render the history of the forums irrelevant.
As a moderator many of my decisions are based on what a person has previously said or done on the forums, including myself. It's basically the "accountability" part of being a forum member. Remove that and it's likely to rapidly degenerate in an unmanageable free-for-all. No thanks!
