Vinyl, I did watch you drop position. So I'm very glad if you were gonna bump me off that you were able to regain the money spot. I hate getting beaten by a loser
I should qualify what I said, it does not update the positions if you are overtaken, AND ARE NOT PLAYING AT THE TIME. I found that my score only correctly showed my position when I started playing and had my first minor win. I was playing ONE coin, and ONE line at the end, hoping to get just the increment I needed without overshooting.
The other one I was playing THREE lines, but ONE coin each, but got FIVE QUEENS
This was 100 coins, WAY too much. I was after pairs of scatters, or THREE of a kind. I had too little time left to try for the next spot up in the specials, partly because the lag was HORRENDOUS in the closing stages.
I have retained position 568 after the close in one of my seats, so I have NOT profited really by having three. It seems that fewer than 9000 seats were allocated in the end, and well over 1000 of the players that DID have a seat never used it. This seems odd, as even if they didn't want to pay, they could at least have seen what they could get in the first round, or even save it up and try for a special place for 1000.
Maybe casinos allocated these seats, but DIDN'T TELL THE PLAYER. I only found one of my seats by chance, and I found out about the 32Red one a day or so before the start. I logged into Red Flush, and saw that slider telling me "you have a seat.....". I checked, and I did. I didn't even have an alias there, but they had allocated me one, and a seat. I later got an email that only IMPLIED I had a seat, it was NOT personalised, and looked more like a generic one sent to all.
After seeing the scores in the first hours, my REALISTIC strategy was to go for the specials with my 3 seats, using ONE seat only for repeated rebuys because I could easily overshoot the viable specials (which is exactly what happened with that seat - I couldn't beat my best score, so had no chance for a higher special place).
Now, I am wondering when the prizes get paid. The top couple are probably going to be done with a publicity exercise, but the minor ones could just be credited to the accounts as with other tournaments.
