So when the original came out many preferred it to Bonanza (not me) due to mystery symbols etc.

Now we have the second version Diamond Mine 2 Megaways which IMO has a pretty pointless second free spins option as well as ante-bet, bonus buy in some jurisdictions and bonus gamble wheel quite like the Extra Chilli one.

You only need 3 scatters now for the feature too.

Any opinions?

I prefer the original myself. The big problem comparing it Bonanza nowadays is that Blueprint slots don't always run at their top RTP at some leading casinos. This obviously skews the percentages in Bonanza's favour in terms of winning money. If it isnt broke dont fix it.

Another sequel I will probably avoid.

AnteBet slots and gambles rarely interest me because they are designed with one reason in mind, and that is to fleece more money. I am already gambling by spinning the thing. All the added options confuse me and raise doubt.

For all their diversity, the latest slots are becoming predictably boring. Features paying less than 100x 99 times out of 100, being from the UK, Bonus Buy designs raise questions and doubt for me also.

I like the original, so I will stick to that one me thinks.

On another note, I tried to send you a message @dunover, but it says I cannot. Am I ex-communicado? :)

No, it should work OK?

Now at Videoslots RTP 93%
Saw some gambling news celebrating Videslots reaching a catalogue of 10,000 slots. An impressive collection were it not for the lack of decent paying RTP versions.

p.s. Watch Diamond Mine Megawways gradually disappear from sites now. It doesn't fit the desired modern-day mould of rinse, rinse, rinse, rinse some more, pay one streamer a megawin, rinse, rinse, rinse, and so on....

It's 93% at Sky as well. Maybe that's standard.

The various Diamond Mines were my first choice games for the last three-four years until my obsession with Bonanza took over. I did alright on them, although I've had a terrible run this year, so much so that I don't play them much now.
Had a little go at the new version. Can't see anything there that'll drag me away from the other versions.

**edit**
Decided to give it another go - 23 spins in got the bonus. Think I made the wrong choice which bonus to take, the guaranteed 5X thing, as I only got 20x winnings. Or is this one of those games where it doesn't matter which bonus you choose - you're gonna get the same win no matter what.

**another edit**
Two spins after writing my last edit got the bonus again. Went for the 8 spins this time - got 34X win. Still nothing special but Bonanza's only paying out in the 20s at the moment so that's an improvment.
I guess 8 spins is the way to go (or gamble for more). If it want's to pay out more it'll retrigger.

Lottomart is running a 95% version. That might be the highest available.

Just a rant. Over 200 spins on Paddy Power and not once did I hit the bonus. I find this bizarre because whenever I play DM2 on any other site, I always hit the bonus within a short time. I don't think it's the game, but PP somehow blocking the bonus. It just seemed so unusual compared to all the other times I've played. I'm certain that these big sites are up to no good.

Play the game a lot at Paddy Power and to me it is the opposite it bonuses far more often and biggest wins have all been there. Guess it's just luck.

I just gave it another 50 and still nothing. The game normally drops bonuses for fun everywhere else. Not on PP, though. I've never seen it so tight.
