how does RTG blackjack work? random shuffle of a deck in the software? anyone care to explain
i searched the forum didnt find much....i did see a few RTG blackjack success stories thats about it

thanks

The cards are random but one thing you need to be aware of. In any of the BJ variant games where the dealer has one face-up card and a face-down card the face-up card normally is deceptive. For example if the face-up card is a K,Q or J it leads you to hit a third card when you have 12-16. Once you bust its revealed that the face down card is either a 3,4,5 or 6. Conversely, if the face up card is a 4,5 or 6 the face down card complements the face up card for a value of 9, 10 or 11. The face up card deters you from hitting when you use BJ strategy. I am not a conspiracy believer but this occurs just too many times for comfort. Other software are more random in their choice of the face up card.

The only peculiar thing about RTG blackjack games is that they won't tell you how many decks they use. Other than that, just like all (most?) other software providers they start each hand with a full new deck. You may have been deceived by a "muck" in the upper left corner of the screen, a stack of cards placed face down, into which the used cards are going. But that is just an animation. If a casino indeed discarded the cards, it would quickly become a prey of card counters.
