Issue #131
weekly

Dear Readers,

What a beautiful day! I was so bummed last week (Halloween), since I had no pumpkin, thus no seeds to bake in the oven. It turned out that some relatives 200 kilometers away had saved a few pumpkins just for me. No, I didn't get the seeds on time, but I got them anyway. Oh, it's the simple pleasures in life that make everything bearable. I better start looking for a turkey for Thanksgiving. Being an American in deutschland definitely has its hassles.

Fruitfully yours,

Bryan

Finally a new webcast, and it's in-house here!
This week's show is a special show since it's been about a month and a half since my last one (oh my!). You gotta check it out! This week's topics:
  • RTG meeting in Vegas
  • CAC in Vancouver
  • Intercasino Tournaments
  • Prism Casino is very naughty
  • Got 29 minutes to spare? You won't regret it. Real Player is required (come on, doesn't everyone have Real Player already installed?)
    TOURNAMENTS AT CASINOMEISTER!!
The Meister's Video Poker and The Meister's Video Slots!
Intercasino is hosting "The Meister's Video Poker" and "The Meister's Video Slots" until the 30th. Right now, I'm kicking some ass in video slots. In fact, I'm in third place and I still have 23 minutes to play!! So who wants a piece of me? Hmm? C'mon, take on the Meister if you dare.

What's a tournament you ask? It's a way for you to play a game at the casino with no monetary risk and still win lots of dough. You pay a sign up fee of $15 and that's it. You are given a $1000 balance (play money) to play the game, and you have only 30 minutes of play time (which can be started and stopped anytime during the 30 day period). At the end of the tournament, whoever has the highest dollar amount wins (real money)!
    1st prize: $1000 (1 winner)
    2nd prize: $200 (2 winners)
    3rd prize: $60 (10 winners)

Step one: open a REAL account at Intercasino
Step two: deposit enough money to cover the entry fee(s).
Step three: locate "The Meister's Video Poker" and "The Meister's Video Slots" in the tournaments section and sign up.
Step four: play and try to kick my ass!

They're running Oddson software and have a fantastic selection of games to choose from. Definitely a casino to join.

The CEO is ex-Ladbrokes veteran Ed Ware, the finance boss is Paul Webb who was at Victor Chandlers and another Ladbrokes man, Graham Campbell heads Operations. That bodes well for an efficient and well managed casino. 3. Todays Humor...

You've all heard of the Air Force's ultra-high-security, super-secret base in Nevada, known simply as "Area 51?"

Well, late one afternoon, the Air Force folks out at Area 51 were very surprised to see a Cessna landing at their "secret" base. They immediately impounded the aircraft and hauled the pilot into an interrogation room.

The pilot's story was that he took off from Vegas, got lost, and spotted the Base just as he was about to run out of fuel. The Air Force started a full FBI background check on the pilot and held him overnight during the investigation. By the next day, they were finally convinced that the pilot really was lost and wasn't a spy. They gassed up his airplane, gave him a terrifying "you-did-not-see-a-base" briefing, complete with threats of spending the rest of his life in prison, told him Vegas was that-a-way on such-and-such a heading, and sent him on his way. The next day, to the total disbelief of the Air Force, the same Cessna showed up again. Once again, the MP's surrounded the plane. . .only this time there were two people in the plane.

The same pilot jumped out and said, "Do anything you want to me, but my wife is in the plane and you have to tell her where I was last night."

    ha ha ha

I was given a $50.00 no deposit bonus from Silversandscasino.com. I read all the terms etc and proceeded to play. I was only playing 5 cent video poker and slots when I hit the progressive on red, white and blue. It paid 1250.00 which was added to my balance which was already up to 200.00
Now, I understand that they don't want to give me that money but what I can't understand is why they didn't put that money back into the progressive (because it actually wasn't won right)
Well they wont answer that but they said they would let me withdraw $100.00 if I faxed them my picture ID and an utility bill. I did this on November 1, 2002 and have never heard back from them. Now they have my picture ID (drivers license) and I am worried. If anyone knows anything about this casino could you please let me know. I hope its not another Windows (same software)
Well how about it? Anyone got an answer for this poor soul? Check this out here.

    4. Casinos You Gotta Join!

Finally, Intercasino has launched a player v player poker room!!

Since their launch in November 1996 over $6 billion has been processed in online casino payments and now this experience is being brought to bear in the online poker market with the launch of InterCasinoPoker.

Until recently online casinos have been reluctant to offer poker rooms in addition to their existing casino programs, and it is taking the market leader to break the mould.

“The Internet Poker market is growing at a phenomenal rate, and as one of the oldest and most respected Internet Casinos we decided to draw up on our existing expertise to offer a multi-currency player v player poker product” said Ryan Hartley, manager of InterCasinoPoker.

“InterCasino has a tradition of offering superior products before anyone else, so we are proud to be the first in the industry to offer a casino, poker room and bingo hall all available on the same E-cash account.”

The software offers both 7 Card Stud and Texas Hold'em, with more games and features on the way, but players are already able to play in US Dollars, Euros and Sterling.

“InterCasinoPoker also continues the InterCasino's tradition of never using shills or robots in any of our products. In order to balance the tables and start new ones we have a Prop Player Incentive Scheme that pays players $10 an hour to do the same.” Ryan continued “Players can always be sure that we are impartial in the poker room.”

InterCasinoPoker is available to download at InterCasinoPoker.com and a $20 sign up bonus will be given to every player coming through this link.

    CASINO CAUTIONS

    Mercedes

Last week we reported the advent of eWorldwide Casino.com, powered by a small software company called Mercedes (nothing to do with the famous luxury car marque!) There were indications that the elusive Larry Thom has an interest in this casino, which has eventually responded to emails to deny any Thom involvement. Mercedes is pretty coy about giving out information, too. Sales manager Nancy Hennessy has a problem revealing the names of other casinos using its software, and maintains strongly that it has no obligations to the player as it is "just a software provider". Until April this year Mercedes also provided the software for another Thom enterprise called Grandmastersports, which has also apparently disappeared over the horizon. But they have no ownership record due to personnel changes. It therefore appears that players can expect little help from Mercedes in the event of licensee problems, and that the Thom trail has once again gone cold. We are told by reliable sources that the Palace Court Casino.com is also using Mercedes software, but we do not know of any others at present.
