Casinomeister's Newsletter

Issue #114

Dear Readers,

This newsletter has been taking me the entire day to pump out. There's a serious thunderstorm which has caused unprecedented electrical chaos. The power keeps getting blasted by thunderbolts and by the time my computer has rebooted, the power goes out again. Plus there has been such a torrent of rainfall that the streets are getting flooded down below, thus action for our fire brigade to do some serious pumping (of the streets). It's been one of those days!

Electrifiably yours,

Bryan

EVIL SPAMMERS SECTION
Spammers beware. It is a well known fact that I don't like spam. The quickest and most efficient tool to handle spam is the delete button on your keyboard. But it's the evil spammers I am concerned about. Evil = deceptive, annoying, and insulting. There are a few casino operators out there who have ventured into the "dark side" and condone the use of this marketing stategy. This section is dedicated to them: Evil Spammers.
Take that evil one!

2. And now for the humor...
From the Archives

A woman was sitting at a bar enjoying a cocktail after work one night, when the bar door opened and the most gorgeous hunk of a man she had ever seen entered.

He was tall, muscular, and handsome, with thick dark hair and beautiful, sparkling green eyes, and his every movement was so masculine and sensuous that the woman could not help but stare.

The man noticed that he was the object of the woman's rapt attention, and with a sly, sexy smile, approached her. Blushing, she prepared to apologize for staring, but he leaned close and whispered in her ear.

"I'll do anything," he whispered in a deep, soft voice. "Anything, absolutely anything you want, anything you have ever fantasized, for fifty dollars. There's just one condition..."

Trembling with anticipation, the woman asked him the condition. The man said, "You have to tell me what you want me to do in just three words."

The women gazed into his hypnotic eyes, considering the proposition, then reached into her handbag and took out fifty dollars. She scribbled her address on a napkin, folded it around the cash, and pressed it into his waiting hand. She leaned over and whispered into his ear...

*insert drum roll here

"Clean... my... house."

Casinomeister's Forum: Questions: Wire transfer request
------------------------------------------------------------
Posted by cegep on Thursday, June 06, 2002 - 12:34 am:

On last Thursday May 23rd. I made a wire transfer request as I though it will be faster and safier to receive money.

On last Thursday May 30th ( Of course ) I asked when I will receive my winning.

I received quickly this answer:

Hello XXXX

We are currently processing your winnings for payment. We will let you know as soon as your winnings are dispatched.

Please note we do not need any additional information from you.

Please feel free to call our 24 hour help desk at 1-888-XXX-XXXX, or 1-XXX-XXX-XXXX collect for further queries.

Regards
XXXX

Since from this I had no more news. I will contact this site again shortly. But I have a question:

Is it normal to wait about 2 week or more before receiving a wire transfer???

Find out what's up with that here

Trouble at Casinomeister

Casinobar doesn't like Vortran007

A few days ago, Vortran007 received word that Michael Shackleford, "The Wizard of Odds" had accused Casinobar.com of cheating at Blackjack. This was big news. Casinobar.com has been online for some time now and uses software provided by COA World Entertainment Limited. After viewing his findings, which are documented here, Vortran and I decided to report on this.

Understandably, the folks at Casinobar weren't too happy about this, especially after Vortran alerted most of you via this newsletter on Monday, and I immediately placed Casinobar and all of its related casinos in our Rogue Casino Section. Michael Shackleford's experience and reputation in this industry is unparalleled. If he claims that a software provider is cheating and publishes this statement, I as a consumer watchdog, am obligated to report these findings. If he rescinds his statement, the same thing goes, I will report on that as well. If Casinobar wants to post their own findings, I'll provide a link to that as well. I believe that I have been reporting on these issues responsibly.

Casinobar's lawyers have contacted me and have implied that some of my writings were a bit too subjective and slanderous. I am sure that if any of you review what I wrote, you would agree that most of the statements I made were objective. And sure, there is a measurable amount of opinions and subjectivity in all journalistic writings and reporting, simply because these reports are made by people who use their experience and knowledge to give the writing some depth. But perhaps I made an insinuation that shouldn't have been made and I apologize to all individuals involved or affected by this; what I had done was made the following statement:

Casinobar.com and Casinoonair.com use software provided by C.O.A. World Entertainment Ltd. located in Cyprus. Unfortunately, it seems that this software cheats players at Black Jack. In June 2002, Michael Shackleford (the "Wizard of Odds) put casinobar's Black Jack game to the test and came up with some staggering results.

In fairness to casinobar, I should state that Michael Shackleford did NOT play at Casinoonair or any of the other casinos that use this same software, so I have made this correction in the Rogue Casino Section for your perusal. I hope that this clarifies the point that his findings only pertain to casinobar.com.
