29 March 2002 Issue #104 weekly Dear Readers, Well, what a busy week. In case you've been living in a cave, or your computer has been turned off, the big story this week is that the Sunny Group announced that they are dropping Microgaming as a software provider and joining Playtech. Wow. This surprised most everyone. And it seems that this is a nasty divorce going beyond the usual parting shots. I believe these accusations and counter-accusations will continue for some time, but let's just hope that these two outstanding groups will come to amends somehow. So this is why this newsletter is a day late. I recorded and posted a new radio broadcast at Casino Gazette, and then I took a break. Instead of working to the wee hours last night. I decided to watch the rest of the Academy Awards. You see, I taped it on Sunday night; they were broadcasted live but at 1 AM, and it was a five hour broadcast. I was able to piece-meal my viewing this week; a half hour here-a half hour there. And I completely avoided newspapers and any mention of it on the Internet. I wanted the awards to be a surprise for me. Anyway, I watched the final two hours last night. Sidney Poitier was the highlight for me; the man radiates dignity. I made it through Halle Berry's blubbering and tear-jerking acceptance speech, and then "blip" the tape ended, the show was off, and some stupid German women's-weepy movie came on. Man! I had taped the show, but I didn't account for the show to go over its scheduled time! I missed the last 45 minutes or so...so I ended up back online last night checking out who had won.
It's Easter weekend and today's a holiday. If you want to see what it looks like today (Friday) outside my window, just visit my Radio Show page. I'll be back to work on Tuesday! My Radio Show at Casinogazette Like the new look? 2. And now for the humor...... SUPER GRANNY DEFENDER OF JUSTICE A few minutes later she found her own car parked four or five spaces farther down. She loaded her bags into her car and drove to the police station. The sergeant to whom she told the story nearly tore himself in two with laughter and pointed to the other end of the counter, where four pale white males were reporting a car jacking by a mad elderly woman described as white, less than 5' tall, glasses, and curly white hair carrying a large handgun. Ha ha ha...thanks Stuart!Return to Top 3. Forum Highlights ------------------------------------------------------------ Casinomeister's Forum: Online Casino Complaints: MicroGaming System's Software Suspicious Random Generation?? ------------------------------------------------------------ By the_cpa (the_cpa) on Wednesday, March 27, 2002 - 11:27 pm mp manager, The nature and tone of your current posts are, IMO, a departure from the nature, tone and accusations leveled in the press release yesterday and after the Microgaming's response to it. Please understand that no one here is pointing any fingers, we just want the truth. No politics or artful dodger responses. Either Sunnygroup or M.G.issued a worldwide press release that is false. Due to extremely serious nature of the accusations leveled by SunnyGroup that MG was/is tampering with the software and that PWC was considering dropping Microgaming audit reviews, I think we all need to find out who's telling the right story. Sunny says they terminated the agreement and MG says they terminated the agreement. A mutual split it was not! Can't be both. Pretty simple, someone is lying! If a mistake was made, somebody needs to print a retraction along with an explanation. It won't just go away at this point. I'd be real careful not to underestimate the gambling public on this. Check out what this is all about here. I have also set up a Sunny Group "Question and Answer" section in our forum for any questions players may have concerning the recent turn of events. Return to Top 4. Tattersalls Joins Casinomeister! More than a new Casino ! Tattersall's Casino Tattersall's Casino, like its sister Sports Betting and Lottery sites, appeals to the player instinct - no hype, no gimmicks - just high quality games, player security and operator integrity. Tattersall's Casino offers ...
Tattersalls Casino (*Please note that Tattersall's Casino is unable to offer cash play to residents in U.S, Canada, Australia, France, South Africa or Belgium.) You also must check out CrazyVegas!!
5. Sunny Group Versus Microgaming/Microgaming Versus Sunny Group Where will it end? Honestly, I don't know. And as I type away, the story is developing--taking a spin here, a sharp turn there. As I mentioned on my Webcast at Casinogazette, this reminds me of a nasty divorce where accusations are made and everyone's dirty laundry is hung out the window for the neighbors to check out. As the press-releases are made, I'll be posting them in our news section. They are too lengthy to include here in our newsletter, but they are certainly an interesting (and at times and entertaining) read. Nevertheless, Casinomeister will stand behind the Sunny Group. They are by far, one of the stellar casino groups out there. Last year they were awarded "Best Casino Group" from Casinomeister for their work with the Children with Aids Foundation. A great bunch of people, and I have never heard of any player or promoter of this group having a problem with them. And we will stand behind Microgaming, the forerunners of some of the best playing software in this industry. They provide the games to many outstanding casinos, no doubt about it. And have created some of the most user friendly, best paying-out, trustworthy software that thousands of players enjoy. Many of the Casinos presented at Casinomeister use Microgaming software, and they uphold the highest standards in the business. So it will be interesting how this turns out, since many of us are on the edge of our seats. As one of my sponsors wrote to me yesterday, they had run out of Coke and popcorn at the office.
