PASSING THOUGHTS

Over the past few weeks I've been dealing with renovating a house - getting it ready to move into. Stripping off wall paper, tearing down walls, painting, laying cork floors, and doing a whole hell of a lot of other manly things that need to be done before our stuff arrives.

Needless to say (then why say it), this gives me ample time to reflect on what's been going on in Casinomeisterland and beyond. I have time between letting a wall dry to tearing out an old carpet to catch up on my emails or to see what's going on in the forum. One thing for sure, there was the huge issue about White Label Casinos that I spoke about last week. As soon as the newsletter went out, Max Wright the CEO of the Playshare group made several postings in the forum discussing the topic and their usage of the white label casino. It looks as though they have taken many of the outraged player comments to heart and are on the path of doing the right thing. But what still bothers me is why - why do we need more casinos? Aren't there enough as it is?

I guess this is something I can look into while in Barcelona this coming October. Most of the people who have answers for this will be there at the EIG, and it should be a good time to express my thoughts on the subject.

While painting a ceiling, I dwelled upon the British government "white list" issued this past week. This pertains to which online casinos can be advertised for UK players in the UK. Well since my site is available in the UK - I should take this to heart. Only those companies licensed in jurisdictions such as the Isle of Man and Alderney and within the European Economic Community are acceptable as UK advertisers. Kahnawake is pending consideration at the moment - hope to hear about this soon.

Goes to show that it pays in the long run to secure a license in a highly regulated and controlled environment. Casino Darwinism I guess it is, survival of the fittest. The operators who have a wide horizon to look at and are looking at long term commitments will know what I mean. Affiliates and portal masters hopefully have the same thing in mind.

And what's up with fraudsters? I busted out one Aussie from Oz who signed up two accounts in the forum using the same email address. He tried acting like two different players complaining about Casino Action and Mansion casinos...did he think I just jumped off of some boat from China? Fraudsters, I welcome you to post in our forum. Please post your complaints so we can have a laugh or two.

And while laying cork, I listened to a lot of Led Zeppelin - specifically Presence. Talk about some hellacious High School flashbacks. You'd have to have grown up in the SF Bay area in the 60's and 70's to know what I'm talking about...

...and painting the walls goes good together with a little Firehouse Rock by the Wailing Souls. You can't go wrong with reggae.
