Halloween Special Edition

Dear ${token1},

It's that time of year, my friend - when the veil between the spirit world and ours becomes a little bit thinner. It's easier for those who have gone beyond to come back and visit us. So sit back, relax, and grab yo'self a hot cup 'o java and read on...

Gravely yours,
Bryan

I live near here - really.

Spooks

Let's go ghost hunting...

Is your boss looking right now? If not, good - let's browse around the Internet for some trippy ghostly stuff. Do photographs of "ghosts" give you the creeps? They sure freak me out a little. Here's a cool site that has a number of purportedly authentic ones: Ghost Research Society. There are even tips on how to do this on your own: Ghost Photography in Cemeteries and here - Ghost Photography 101.

One photograph that has been online for a while is one you need to check out - skeptics and all. Apparently a young couple bought a house in New England and they began seeing images and hearing voices for quite a while. They did some research and found that a woman once lived in the house who lost her husband during the American Civil War. Legend says that she used to sit at her kitchen table and look across the fields in anticipation of her loved one returning home. He never came.

So, they say she still waits. The man took a photo of his kitchen and in this photo you can see her. This is really trippy because there is sound as well (he did a recording). You can find the ghost in the picture, but at first it's really hard to detect. It took me about 30 seconds to find it, but when you do it just stands out. Like one of those weird 3D optical illusions. To save you some time, concentrate looking around the table. Best not to focus too much on one spot. Look around the table and towards the window. For an added touch turn up the volume on your speakers before opening, it's faint but you can hear the ghost talking sometimes in a low murmur, but you can hear what she is saying. Anyway on the link below:

It takes a while for your eyes to see it...

Focus and concentrate....

Be patient, it's pretty amazing once you actually see it.

What really gives me the willies, are recordings of ghost voices. American Association of Electronic Voice Phenomena they have a bunch of these strange "white noise" recordings that can really freak you out. You can purchase them as well here: EVP Recordings. Amazingly so, musicians have used some of the recordings as samples for dance tracks. Enough said.

ATTENTION EVERYONE! Win $100 Every Month!!

If you have one of the excellent "del.icio.us" (free from http://del.icio.us) bookmark accounts and a Neteller account, I'll be giving away one random prize of $100 every month to one "bookmarker" in conjunction with Simmo! at OGGS.com. If you don't have a del.icio.us account, it's free to set up and a very handy way of storing useful bookmarks as you travel the web, which you can then access from anywhere.

To enter the competition, all you simply have to do is visit www.casinomeister.com and www.oggs.com and bookmark any one page from each site in del.icio.us (it's dead easy), then email your public "del.icio.us" URL to Simmo! at webmaster@oggs.com. Each month we'll visit one del.icio.us site at random and if both Oggs and Casinomeister bookmarks are present, the owner wins $100 payable via Neteller. Set it up once, and you'll be eligible every month! And don't forget to use your two new bookmarks to find all the best casinos ;-)

Simple really. Please send one email for each del.icio.us URL you have containing the bookmarks - it makes it easier for Simmo! apparently! And yes, you can enter more then one URL if you have more than one del.icio.us account!
