In most cases, it's easy to give advice on what not to do. And over the past few weeks I've seen a lot of "not to do's", like don't baffle people with bullshit when you make mistakes. This may have worked in the Army, or at Staples, but running an online business is a bit different. People save email, gaming logs, terms and conditions are archived, IP addresses are tracked, there are a number of reasons why it's best to be upfront with players when you (the operator) make a mistake. Lie, and you'll get caught. This is not a good thing in an industry that relies on trust.
If you eff up and make a mistake - admit it. You'll be much better off in the long run. Believe me, you will.
Anyway, for those who will miss my presentation - no need to start slitting your wrists, I'll be uploading the presentation online sometime next week.
My agenda: (besides meeting with several operators and webmasters):
- Convince 888.com that they are doing everyone in this industry a disservice with their unorthodox marketing techniques.
- Hope to meet someone from the Kahnawake Gaming Commission to renew my faith. Right now, I'm highly disappointed in them.
- Meet with the Oddson people along with Ted Loh to find out what really happened with their software "glitch"
- Eat sushi.
- Catch a movie or two.

Proposed consolidation advantageous for both successful companies
Two of the most successful and established online casino and poker room groups in the online gaming industry have announced plans to create a new Internet super-group.
Trident Entertainment Group out of Kahnawake in Canada is in discussions with regard to a proposed merger of its operations into Gibraltar-based Carmen Media Group. This would result in a Carmen Media Group line-up of 10 top online casinos, 4 poker rooms on the Prima Poker Network and a sportsbook powered by LudoLogic.
