| WORD FROM THE MEISTER | ||
| SUMMER BREAK | ||
|
Did anyone notice this, or is it just me? My summer break whizzed on by. *Poof* it's gone. I can't even remember how many days I took off - it was twelve or something like that. I took the family to Berlin to visit some friends, and then we traveled to an island in former East Germany where we stayed by the beach on the Baltic sea. The weather was nice, and the food pretty good. But the "free" wireless connection at the hotel turned out to be 8 Euros an hour -- so obviously that didn't happen.
Anyway, I got some reading done. I finished "On The Road With The Ramones" - insightful reading about one of my favorite bands (and a gift from a grateful forum member). You too can buy me gifts here <grin> Amazon.co.uk wishlist http://casinomeister.com/cgi-bin/adcycle1.15/adclick.cgi?gid=5&cid=16&mid=106&id=957 I read some other stuff; mostly Astronomy magazines (Sky and Telescope) and a few chapters of Hoyle's Encyclopedia of Card Games. The rest of the time I droned out listing to my iPod. I also showed the kids how to build a bitchin' looking sand castle. Me being a California native and all. And now I'm home. Man, that was way too quick. So I'm back at work - pluggin' away - wondering if the last cluster of days wasn't just a dream. Wake up, me.
| PITCH A BITCH OPEN FOR BUSINESS | ||
| Yeah, all you screwed over and/or problematic players - c'mon down and Pitch a Bitch! I shut the site down during my absence - but it's now open for business. I know some of you are just DYING to bitch about something - like (ahem) Joyland Casino.
|
||
| JOYLAND AIN'T SO JOYFUL | ||
| I'm not going to start raggin' on Joyland Casino quite yet. At least not until I get a little more information on what is going on over there. What's going on? Well they've PO'ed a lot of players by confiscating winnings from accounts that were "abusing" a software "bug" in the software (!?). This is very odd indeed since I don't think Playtech software is buggy at all; at least I hope it isn't. There is a long thread in our forum that is currently dealing with this situation (warning - long, but a very informative read) http://www.casinomeister.com/forums/showthread.php?t=9195&page=1&pp=10 One thing I gotta say - "Joyland" is one of the stupidest names I've heard of for a casino ever since I heard of Connect-to-casino (winner of the coveted "Stupidest Named Casino Award" of 2003). Sorry Joyland, it sounds more like a kid's toy store, or something kind of gay instead of a casino (not that there is anything wrong with that). Let's hope that this misnomer is the only lame thing that comes out of this situation. |

| And now for the humor... | ||
|
A guy was sitting quietly reading his paper when his wife walked up behind him and whacked him on the head with a frying pan. "What was that for?" he asked. "That was for the piece of paper in your pants pocket with the name MaryLou written on it," she replied. "Two weeks ago when I went to the races, MaryLou was the name of one of the horses I bet on," he explained. "Oh honey, I'm sorry," she said. "I should have known there was a good explanation." Three days later he was watching a ballgame on TV when she walked up and hit him in the head again, this time with the iron skillet, which knocked him out cold. When he came to, he asked, "What the hell was that for?" She replied "Your horse called." ha ha ha Thanks Suzecat! Return to Top |

| THIS WEEK'S FORUM HIGHLIGHTS | ||
|
Wow! Do I have some catching up to do. It's been busy as hell in the forum during my absence - a lot of very interesting information is being shared, as well as the idiotic. Besides Joyland getting most of the traffic with their "situation", the Casino Complaint's section is (unfortunately) thriving with much more: California Casino - Deposited $1k over a year ago, they wont pay $992 What's up with that? Find out more here http://www.casinomeister.com/forums/showthread.php?t=9308 In the Casino Industry Discussion section: What's so special about Nicosia, Cyprus? Is it because of the taxes? A haven for Israelis? What do you think? http://www.casinomeister.com/forums/showthread.php?t=9205 Not a member of Casinomeister's forum yet? If not, why not? Come join the crowd and be one of us. Gabba gabba hey!!! Complaints? Kudos? Please let me know. Peace
