Looking at my calendar, I notice it's Thanksgiving. Being a displaced American, I always forget this holiday since there are no reminders around me. No news articles about organic turkeys, impoverished native Americans, or local parades. No History Channel with intriguing documentaries about puritan sex life (they did procreate y'know). No storefront Thanksgiving decorations. No yummy pumpkin pie. No nothin'.
And I already made plans to go out tonight for pizza and beer -- so much for carrying on an American tradition overseas.
Nevertheless, where ever you may be, American or not - Happy Thanksgiving!
