| DECEPTION FROM RISING STAR GAMING | ||
|
Remember how several months ago Windows Casino was bought out by Rising Star Gaming? How the "new" owners were going to clean up their act? The only thing I've had against Windows Casino (RTG) was that they habitually made deceptive statements on their websites that lured players in with bogus claims. They were doing this years ago; they still do it today. Yesterday, I was contacted by a forum member who wondered if Magic Gold Casino was a rogue casino (she couldn't find it in the rogue section).
| I recently won at Magic Gold casino but have not been able to get any response on when I will get my money. I have called and emailed with no response. I emailed my verification documents and received an email that they had received them but as yet no further contact from them. I did not see them listed as a rouge casino or as an evil one on your site... | ||
|
Well I checked out the casino, and I immediately realized that it was a Windows clone. To learn how to spot a "Windows" clone, read this:
http://www.casinomeister.com/rogue/windowscasino.html#howyoucantell Anyway, Magic Gold Casino is sporting a eCOGRA logo on their "About Us" page - pending acceptance it says. This is surprising since the software provider has to qualify before any licensee can be accepted. Real Time Gaming has not submitted anything to eCOGRA as far as I know. Keeping this in mind, right there on the "About Us" page at Magic Gold Casino it states "eCOGRA approval pending". I've made a screenshot in case they take it down before this newsletter goes out: ![]() Well this is news to eCOGRA. eCOGRA's CEO Andrew Beveridge was surprised at this finding and is in the process of contacting the casino about the use of the logo. Also note that the Interactive Gaming Council is listed as well with an "accepted" code of conduct. C'mon, give me a break. Make up your own code of conduct, or just plaster every logo imaginable on the site and just say you agree with them too. This is some bogus crap. They are not members of the IGC. What gets me is that all of these claims are so unnecessary. Why do these casinos still feel that the only way to get customers is to trick them into playing with bogus BS. Shenanigans like this reflect directly on casinos' business ethics, and I am rather amazed that these guys are still in business.

| SLOT JUNKIES WHERE YOU AT? | ||
| Slots!! Slots!! and more Slots!! Hey, there's a tournament you need to get involved with if you're into slots! It's at Slotjunkies.info, and it's probably one of the most ingenious and fun tourneys to get involved with. The Slot Junkies Challenges are a unique concept whereby players can opt into competitions for their favourite casino games and join in a community of like-minded players. Each month, casinos sponsor certain games and put up prizes for the best win, backed up by a screenshot, during the month. The winning screenshots are those which show the highest win, based on the number of coins won rather than the actual amount. This gives the "low-rollers" a fairer chance to compete. The first prize each month will vary from game to game and the prize allocation is displayed for each game when you enter the Player Lounge. Second and Third place prizes are also usually available. Lots more information here http://www.slotjunkies.info/slot_challenge_faq.php. Check it out!! |

| And now for the humor...... | ||
|
A man and his wife are sitting at the kitchen table, which is next to the window. The man's name is Rudolph, and since he is Russian, people call him "Rudolph the Red." Rudolph looked out the window and said to his wife, "Oh look honey, it's raining outside." She looks out as well and says, "No, I think that is snow." He looks at her and says, "Rudolph the red knows rain dear."
<groan> but I just had to tell it! But on another Christmasy note, check out the History Channel's website on the makings of Christmas and where these traditions come from. http://www.historychannel.com/exhibits/holidays/christmas/index.html section. Fascinating stuff. Return to Top Complaints? Kudos? Please let me know. Happy Holidays
