Obviously, I've made a few enemies at the Gambling Portal Webmaster's Association with my statements concerning greed and banner farmers. I was going to let it rest, but I thought the following was both rather funny yet perplexing.
This was posted in their forum the other day http://www.theinformationminister.com/press.php?ID=612343445, and I was somewhat flattered, but at the same time disturbed by the Nazi references. It's true I live in Germany and the images that are used to brand Casinomeister are German. Casinomeister is a German name. My wife is German. My kids are German. Jackpot Willi is German. I like German food and Bier. I have many subscribers who are German. So I think the Nazi references are a bit out of line. There are not too many people on this side of the globe who think that Nazis are that funny.
And I'm not whining that they are poking fun at me. I used to be a U.S. Army Paratrooper/Squad Leader/Drill Sergeant and some of my troops hated my guts. That was tough shit for them. But I always accomplished my mission. And even though some of my troops hated me, they still respected me and my position (in most cases). It was a rare occurrence that they would step over "the line".
So are these webmasters stepping over the line? Who knows? Who cares? All I know is that this organization loses its credibility when its members call me the "Shit-meister" and salute me with a "Sieg Heil". And that's definitely their problem, and not mine.

The decision to close down CrownGames follows a review of our operations in response to a number of legal and financial changes affecting the Got2bet industry worldwide.
In many countries, legislative amendments to gambling laws have created a very ‘grey’ area for online gaming and bookmaking. CrownGames, which draws from the prestige of Australia’s largest and most prestigious casino – Melbourne’s Crown Casino - was and is still not prepared to ‘work around’ the rules to be competitive.
In addition, many financial institutions have made it increasingly difficult to transfer money to and from player accounts.
When is CrownGames closing down?
All online gaming services ceased 6am, Monday 5 May 2003. We are still finalising other aspects of CrownGames operations, including payment of outstanding client credits and commissions, and so you can continue to contact us for some time after the above date.
Is my money safe?
Yes. All clients will be paid outstanding amounts in full, including cheque deposits, in the near future.
Is my personal information safe?
Yes. All personal information will be destroyed. Under no circumstances will personal information be passed on to a third party.
Is the closure permanent?
In all likelihood, yes.
