Dear Reader,

What a beautiful day. The cheery chirping birds are returning to our village. The snow that has just about completely melted away only remains in the shady places. But on some nearby hills, there is just enough to go play hooky and go sledding with the kids.

Hooky: an interesting term. Perhaps derived from a usage of "to hook" meaning to escape. I hope that most of you reading this newsletter read it as a means of escapism, escaping from the "realities" of the jerk next to your cubicle at work. Or from the oppressive workaholic boss that smirks "Weekends are for wimps! Quit your sniveling!!" Or for the few of you remaining at home, I hope this newsletter brings you good cheer allowing you to flee from the naggy wife, whinny husband, or abusive children. So c'mon, grab a hot cup o' java and escape with me...

Fleetingly yours,

Bryan

NEW AT CASINOMEISTER!
EVIL PLAYERS
Assisting players is something that I do. Not so much from the kindness of my heart, but clearly from a sense that this industry must be held accountable for its actions and non-actions. Most casinos that I deal with are prime examples of successful businesses that take their players and customer relationships quite seriously. And of course, there are the rogues, the incompetent, the evil casinos which consistently give this industry a bad name. Likewise there are players who fall into the same catagory.

I am not one to be taken advantage of, and I will not tolerate players who use me and my services fraudulently. Taking care of a players' problems is a serious investment of time and resources. And most players are on the up-and-up, but there is an unscrupulous bunch who are out to scam the casinos and who are either untruthful or deceptive when it comes to dealing with me. This section is dedicated to them.

ROGUE CASINOS
Cashmybet is a rogue casino Another gem in the RTG crown; Cashmybet does not pay winners and does not respond to emails. Obviously the name "Cashmybet" is oxymoronic unless of course it's referring to the casino keeping the players' cash. I suppose so. Here's a complaint from a player who has not been paid for six months. Read about it here.

3. This week's humor From the Archives:

A drunk stumbles along a baptismal service on Sunday afternoon down by the river.

He proceeds to walk down into the water and stand next to the preacher. The minister turns and notices the old drunk and says, "Mister, are you ready to find Jesus?"

The drunk looks back and says, "Yes, Preacher, I sure am."

The minister then dunks the fellow under the water and pulls him right back up. "Have you found Jesus?" the preacher asked.

"Nooo, I didn't!" said the drunk.

The preacher then dunks him under for quite a bit longer, brings him up and says, "Now, brother, have you found Jesus?"

"Noooo, I have not, Reverend."

The preacher in disgust holds the man under for at least 30 seconds this time, brings him out of the water and says in a harsh tone, "My God, man, have you found Jesus yet?"

The old drunk wipes his eyes and says to the preacher, "Are you sure this is where he fell in?"

Hi Bryan,
This is Linda7. I have read all the posts regarding Crown Vegas and I must say that I am shocked at these posts. My husband and I love Crown Vegas. The account is in my husband's name. I made sure not to open one in my name also, since the rules clearly state only one account per household.

When we first started playing, we played keno and video poker. They have the best payoffs on keno I have ever seen. Well, we built up our money and requested a withdrawal. Bryan, believe it or not, I was the one who registered the account and when I typed his name, I typed MY MAIDEN name instead of my married name. We called customer service and I told them the story. They laughed and said no problem, we will fix it from this end. Then they asked that we send a copy of hubby's driver's license, a utility bill, and for extra precaution I sent a copy of our bank statement. To top everything off, since we are newly married, we moved over the summer to a new home. Barry (my husband) has not gone to the motor vehicle dept yet to change the address on his license. I wrote to the manager at Crown Vegas explaining this entire mess. Steve received all our documents, and emailed us and said everything is in order please go ahead and make your withdrawal.

Bryan, this casino bent over backwards for us. I think you are totally correct for recommending them in your website. By the way, the money was in hubby's neteller account within a couple of days.

Now everyone realize...first I type the wrong last name, then hubby's license has the wrong address on it and Crown Vegas was understanding and helpful.

I would like to address Rainfall now.

Let me tell you something...Bryan has helped me in the past. I was locked out of Paradise Poker because I played in a tournament with my Aunt. I had no idea I was breaking any rules, and I contacted Bryan immediately. In less than 2 days my account was opened and Bryan emailed me to make sure all was okay. Rainfall, Bryan does not have to do all that he does. I truly believe he does it because he is a man of integrity and gets real mad when online casinos take advantage of their players. He is forever keeping us all abreast of what is going on in the gambling circle, which gives us knowledge and knowledge is power. Therefore, I think you owe this very decent man an apology to say the least. As far as deleting posts, I know Bryan would NEVER do that. I am certain of it. Lastly, if you want to take on anyone's reputation, I recommend you find someone else....Bryan Bailey is way out of your league.

Thanks Bryan for all you do.}

What a nice lady. Check out what all the commotion was about here

RIPPLES SPREAD FROM WINDOW'S SPAM

Database was stolen, but still in use

The theft of a player database that belonged to Grand Banks Casino and was left in the safekeeping of provider Real Time Gaming continued to produce new surprises this week, although the alleged Latvian webmaster culprit has still not been identified.

Early in the week several players complained that they were still getting follow-up email traffic from Friedman's Windows Casino despite the fact that he now clearly knows the database was stolen (Friedman claims he innocently bought the database from an unknown Latvian webmaster)

The speculation is that regardless of the dubious origins of the database Friedman has embedded it into the Windows records and continues to use it in attempts to persuade players to gamble at his casino, which competes with Grand Banks for business. The ethical and decent thing to do here would be to expunge this illegally supplied and private information completely.

Confusing the issue even further, an informant has told us that in fact this database has been touted around over the past couple of months with a somewhat extravagant price tag of $25 000. The identity of the seller is known (and it appears that he is not Latvian) and the information has been passed on to the aggrieved Grand Banks Casino for whatever follow-up action they wish to take. It is, after all alleged to be their database that is being hawked around. This could result in further fireworks and embarrassment for some of the parties involved in this disturbing player information security dispute.
