When is Volleyball Season?

Hello, I'm eager to dive into the world of volleyball and join a local team or league, but I'm not quite sure when the official volleyball season begins. Can anyone provide some insights into when the volleyball season typically starts? I understand that it might vary depending on the region or level of play, but any general information would be greatly appreciated. Also, are there any important events or tournaments that mark the beginning of the season? I'm excited to get started, so any guidance on when and where to look for opportunities to play would be fantastic. Thank you all in advance for your help! Let's serve up some knowledge and fun!

Volleyball will always have a special place in my heart, its how i met my wife.

This year the European Championships volleyball for women are from August 15th until September 3rd, the men's tournament runs from August 28th until September 16th. The previous World Championships were last year. European Championships are held every 2 year whilst World Championships are only once every 4 years. Next year the big tournament for volleyball, both men and women, are the Olympic Games in Paris from July 26th until August 11th.

The regular season for club teams (in Europe that is) typically runs from October until April. There are also various European competitions for club teams that are held during the same timeframe.
