For reference: It is possible to change your preferences on Laddies via My Account > Personal Details > Contact Preference on the website and opt in or out of email, phone, post and/or SMS. I recall from a couple of months back that their SMS opt-out by sending a "STOP" text message didn't work (after getting 4 texts in an hour) - I hope they've fixed that now!
Personally, I have stopped playing on Ladbrokes Casino / Vegas at the moment. They seem to have made more changes to their promotions and offerings in the past month or two - and appear to have made a bad situation worse for the casual player:
1) "Phantom WRs" - originally a WR would lapse when your bonus dropped under £1 (and occasionally give you the shrapnel as cash, which was a nice touch - this is still in the T&Cs); then it lapsed when the bonus hit zero (as we would normally expect); now it can linger and stack up, even with a zero balance.
2) The promotions seem to be increasingly tight and/or broken - for example, the Super Heroes Attack promotion this weekend offers 10 free spins for a £35 deposit - in September it was 25 free spins for a £25 deposit, and previously 25 free spins for a £20 deposit; zero and 10x WR are trending towards 30x WR; and so on. That's assuming the promotion even works in the first place - 20 minute waits for CS for 5 free spins was not my idea of fun!
3) The big push for 20x(D+B) "buy-in bonuses" - a 77% match would be 45xB, a 30% match would be 86xB. Occasionally they would temper this with "deposit bonuses" - still 20x(D+B) but as the allocated funds were zero, the player would get some free play time without having any of their funds locked. On the flip side, it could be "risk-free" and thus be abused by advantage players and the like. Ideally they needed something in the middle.
Obviously they need to offer promotions that work for them, but an 86xB is not going to tempt a deposit! Saying that, most of their spam I get at the moment is for Bingo
so perhaps they don't want my business anyway!
