casinomate crazy first deposit rules (X6 deposit limit on winnings)

I've been in contact with the operator and he says this term on initial bonuses has been in place for a couple of years now. They don't apply this to retention bonuses, only to initial bonuses.

Thank you for clarification.
It's still strange that when you use the waybackmachine this term is nowhere to be found on 25th June 2014 and prior captures (

Was it maybe under the "promotional terms" and has been shifted to the "generals T&C"?
I consider VPL as reputable but don't know what to think about this term.

1) The term needs to be worded better.

2) It's a "spirit of the bonus" term in disguise as it's not a hard and fast rule that ALWAYS applies, but only applies to players they pick and choose. This does not seem to meet the standards for accreditation. This could be a bit of a PR issue if a player (one initially drawn in by it's accredited status) is affected by this clause, sends in a PAB, yet has played well within the rules. I fail in such a situation to see how the casino could advance an argument that was not effectively "spirit of the bonus".

The rule may have been in place for years, but that doesn't make it any less onerous or unfair. I know players need to read rules, but casinos should not be allowed to offer grossly unfair promotions. It's very much like if a casino paid even money on a 6-6 in craps (they pay 30-1). Some foolish players would still take the wager, but the commission would not allow it because it's unfair. Capping any play (even with a bonus) on slots to a paltry 6x is similar. The play is so grossly negative expectation for the player that the casino should not be allowed to offer it.
