He is only selling the site - not the affiliate accounts that go with it. So he will still get earnings from his players as well as the $1,500 for the site.
To me it's a very short-term view which I struggle to understand, but at the end of the day it's up to the owner.

I've never bought an existing site before so I don't know exactly how it's done and how easy or hard it is. But if it's a simple process I would be very interested in buying it myself. It might take 6 months or so to build the income back up - but that's not very long in the grand scheme of things.
My main reservation is that I already have more websites than I can manage to maintain - so more work is not something I should be committing myself to right now.
