Just a Q I'm curious about
Talked to a lot of cousins and aunties and whatnot as of late
And a strange thing; we found a lot of lineages, simply die as of my generation
We have a rather large family, of the time, when parents had a baseball team of children.
But oddly, very nearly, noone had mixed kids (meaning,a potpourri of boys and girls)
As it happens, the boys had girls (thus, in marriage, changed their last names)
The girls, well, changed their names in marriage and the ones had boys had a diff last name
A few singles retiained their names
But again, took other names in marriage or fatheres' name for kids
Weird.
My mother's side.....no exisiting fam name
My dad's side, no existing fam name
Cousins....no exisiting fam name
Going back, grandparents, all dies with my gen
Sad
but nature of the beast, yanno?
Even my brother is a III (the thirrd) (, but stopped that lol
Funny stuff, families
I mean, it isnt much a big thing, dynamics change
Just curious how much the norm
(point being, our 'fam' name ...well, 3 fams, dies this gen)
