Thanks for this, you are correct, Bodog did purchase the RTG code a while back. I do want to make one thing clear though- Bovada is not Bodog- they are two different things. The company that owns the Bovada operations (MMGG) is no longer a Bodog brand licensee hence the re-brand, but there is a b2b technology deal in place which is why the casino software has not changed. In fact, Bodogbrand.com is working on doing a lot more of these B2B technology deals globally including in places like Cambodia, all with separate independant operators.
Thank you!
Becky
Becky, Thank you for your almost immediate reply to my PM regarding my delayed payment at Bovada. I did receive an email from the "Quality" Dept at Bovada assuring me that I their processor had processed my check on 12/28 and that I should have a tracking number by late last week or early this week. I really wish all casinos had reps as responsive and professional as you.
On the surface, their people seem to be trying to provide good service. I have received lots of apologies and assurances. It is also obvious that their telephone support people are outsourced to the Philippines I suspect. They are very courteous and try very hard but unfortunately they are for the most part, clueless. I'm not concerned about not being paid. I'm confident that I will get paid--eventually.
What does concern me is that I have been told my check was cut on 12/28. Is their processor located on a remote island serviced by Ferry once every 10 days?
Is that the reason a check cut on 12/28 was not given to FedEx within the next day or two? I cannot think of any other plausible explanation.
Also, I was completely clueless about Bovada's complete disassociation with Bodog until I got Becky's reply. Bovada seems to be downplaying this fact at a minimum. My impression is that they want people to believe that it was a name change and nothing more based upon their website and my communication with them since mid December.
When I cashed out on 12/15, I was told from the get go that it would be 15 business days due to the holidays and the changeover to Bovada. While I wasn't pleased, I was definitely glad that they were setting what I hoped would be a realistic expectation which most casinos usually fail to do--especially when it comes to withdrawals.
Now I'm past the 15 business day mark and I still do not have payment nor do I have a tracking number--only an assurance that I "should" get one within a "few" days. Hopefully this is a glitch and not what will become their norm. It also really be great if they had an I-Gaming Rep for this forum.
For certain, I will not deposit there again until I am confident that future withdrawals will be processed within a reasonable amount of time. I think two weeks from withdrawal date until check received date is more than enough time to accommodate the holidays or any other issues that may come up.
