Absolute joke of a casino anyway. I signed up ages ago, deposited around £20 X 3 and after no luck decided I'd just cash out my £12.50 I had left. Then came the request for docs, "by the way, we only accept photo ID". I courteously explained I have neither driving licence or passport and generally; actually in most cases all the casinos' I have accounts with have accepted my Birth Certificate and utility bill.
After much debate, the daft fools said they'd accept a "library card" so I explained that library cards don't have photo's or dates of birth. Again I told them my Birth Certificate had always been accepted, even if I'd had to accompany it with two utility bills for the avoidance of doubt.
Their replies then got even more ridiculous; "but we can't accept a Birth Certificate because it doesn't show your face, so would leave doubt as to your identity". Total BS, so there are 2 of me with exactly the same date of birth, same name and same place of birth??
I know that the casino operator is obliged to verify the identity of the player under the terms of their UKGC Licence but they only require to be satisfied that the player is over 18.
So they say they still have a "pending" withdrawal on my account for £12.50 (not showing if I log in btw) and as soon as I go spend £80+ on a passport/driving licence, they'll pay out my £12.50! As far as I'm concerned they can shove my £12.50 right up their fruity bell ar**
Oh, I've since learned btw - get verified, then deposit!
