From my previous post I had turned a $300 free chip into an ~$150 legitimate(?) deposit at the moneystorm casino. Everyone and their mom has been raining fire down on this casino for their poor customer service skills, inability to withdraw money, and generally bad behavior. I am intentionally trying to ignore these people and be able to take out my $150.
I've been spending the last few weeks talking to moneystorm customer support regarding my ability to take out the money I've won, and I've been met with a few roadblocks:
- I need to provide recent identification. That's fair, who doesn't?
- I need to open a support ticket (like I'm troubleshooting a broken laptop) to the accounting department to process a withdrawal.
- I need to wait 3 business days for a response to any ticket before sending them more information, lest I want my support ticket to be shuffled to the bottom of their queue (where I then need to wait another 3 business days).
This is all a little dodgy of course, but I also understand as players (like myself) I'm sure have come in with the attempt to withdraw winnings off of a free chip (some of the pampers casinos apparently don't let you pull *any* money out that began as a free chip, which is odd in itself).
They have many ways listed to withdraw on the bottom of their site and in their support area (where I got to write and submit my ticket). As it turns out, as a United States player, I may not use their Neteller / Skrill withdrawal methods, and must use a bank wire transfer or a money order. It turns out, the money order will cost me 50 bucks, and I'll have to wait 2-3 weeks for processing. The wire transfer would cost *$100*, but only take 1-2 weeks.
I don't mind waiting (I have been doing that a lot already), so I ask about the money order. The person on the other end of this communication chain then tells me that I don't have the minimum balance needed to withdraw through a money order. I would need a balance of over $180 to take any money out that way, they say.
So ... I play strong and in 4 spins of the roulette wheel, I turn my $150 into $180 (which hurts my stomach WAY more now that I'm dealing in real $$$). A new ticket has been sent their way, so now its a matter of time before I see what happens next ... I'll keep everyone informed (it'll be interesting to see what they come up with next to bar me from withdrawing ... maybe because I'm posting on an internet forum about the whole thing?)
