- not sure why this link says what it does it does link to the story. The BBC has told it's staff to stop tweeting political views after BBC News presenter Ben Thompson (who is openly gay) tweeted his views on an edition of Question Time last week in which an audience member discussed the recent muslim/gay prosests in Birmingham.
The presenter was told off by BBC managers for tweeting his views on the subject and an email was sent to BBC staff telling them to stop criticising the BBC on twitter or posting polictical opinions, the email did not specify LBGT.
The BBC really do want to be a closed door community they don't like their views aired in public which is ironic really when their journalists do it and they love telling everyone on their news webpage about some inane BBC presenter's recent personal stories.
