PLEASE
Don't say any more lol
Waiting eagerly until 9pm tonight for our season 7 opener!
Love the show and wish we could have a slot which is as good as the one found in land based casinos.
Maybe in 10 or so years when the licencing costs have reduced.
Edit: Just spotted you're in UK also, didn't think it screened until later tonight
i WONT I left out the spoilers as I aware it does not play here till tonight, just be warned its disturbing viewing
Cheers for the heads up, as brave as I am IRL, I admit it does manage to make me shiver from time to time.
Just checked my Sky box has had the brains to remember to record it (just in case ) as its been a long break since last season and seen its not on till nearly 11.30pm
Good chance I'll fall asleep before we get there
Season 5 IIRC (when they were trapped in Terminus) had a gross opener when they're kneeled over that basin ready to have their throats slashed, secretly hope we're in for more of the same
Best season opener thus far IMO.
Have a feeling we're in for a bit of a 'flat' episode tomorrow lol!
.... I never have watched this show before because I thought to myself that this is, 'Just another zombie film', that I have watched since eternity. But right now, and have for a while, and after listening to co- workers AND here, that maybe it is something to watch.
Hope tonight we get to see what the fabulous Carol has been up to, some great characters getting introduced this season..
what worries me is these writers have no issue with killing of main characters, I would literally die if Daryl got the chop
Literally???
yep literally
Poor Darryl....love him, my favourite too.
Going by the comics, he's a stayer though but as said, they don't mind killing of lead characters.
Daryl was not in the comics Jez.
One character I actually jumped for joy when they killed her of was Andrea........hated her
You are right. Haven't read in a while.
I'm thinking of someone else. I thought Rick was supposed to lose his arm bit that didn't happen.
Ugh, with you on Andrea,
I miss Hershal the most.
If you read the original comic then you'd have known it was coming - that part stayed really true to the story. However yeah it was pretty brutal, and a lot of people thought it was too much. Obviously it's not just the fact that it's humans killing humans in violent ways (Remember when Hershel lost his head or those guys who had the BBQ with Bob?) but I think the shock value was more because it went on for so long, and partly because we were invested in the characters more, and IMO partly because Negan was just so enjoying what he was doing, joking and laughing through the whole thing - it was really chilling.
What I got out of it is that the remaining characters (and the audience) get a reminder that the world they're living in is very savage and anyone that's left has had to become very bad to survive this long - and that really, the zombies are the least of their worries anymore.
Funny too, there were hints last season that Rick was starting to enjoy killing people. Or not so much enjoy it, but not care so much whether they were people or zombies - or whether they were a threat or not. So he'll either become worse, or maybe he'll look at Negan and go "Holy crap, is that what I look like?" and become a little more human.
