If it's not ROGUE and it's not Accredited....

I always start at those two lists when I am contacted by a new casino or see an ad that interests me. But as good as those lists are -- there is a huge amount of casinos that fall in between.

If online casino is not on either list, then I do a "search" of the forum to see if I can find anything out that way.

If that fails................then what should I do? Throw the casino name out there for the good people of this forum to comment on?

Current situation in front of me. A VIP Manager leaves one site and moves to another casino. He has been helpful to me in past at former casino so I am favorably inclined to do business with him again as my VIP contact.

He contacts me, offers wonderful sign up bonuses, promises personalized attention etc.......but it's a casino I have never heard of and I want to research it before I decide to deposit.

What's the best way to decide if I give it a try?

    Thanks in advance,

    Diane

One thing is that if they are really a New casino then they would not have yet had time to become rogued or accredited. I would say to just make a post asking for experience from other members if you have a casino that looks interesting.

Google. Google the casino name and add rogue or problem after it.

As a rule I will err on the side of caution. I get contacted all the time by casinos that want me to promote them. But I am extremely selective. If a casino is not on the accredited list here on CM, I would avoid.

The reason being, there is more than enough choice on the accredited list and as a player and Casinomeister member, you have a very real recourse if you are unfortunate to run into any difficulties.

It's not a new casino, but new to this VIP Manager. It is also a different software platform with new (new to me....) games I haven't had a chance to play before so that's part of the allure.

    Thanks for the post.

Many casinos have reps here on this board, even if they are not accredited. That's something I look for too.

    Ask me!
I'm pretty aware of most online casinos, so name them & I'll say if I think they are OK or dodgy...

Going in without much information is referred to as 'taking one for the team'

Having a good relationship with your VIP should keep you safe at first. Obviously this VIP wants to build something with the new operator, so I seriously doubt they'd pull anything on you. New PR campaigns always start out warm and fuzzy, and everything's great! Just stay reserved, and of course, don't 'go all in'. Listen to your instincts over time.

Actually I have encountered 2 casinos so far which I know refuse to deal with mediators like CM. And these do not fall under the Rogue or recommended. One being William Hill.

I've had good luck with google by typing the word complaints after the casino name. There are lots of places where gamblers complain.

    Thanks.

LOL............loved your comment about gamblers complaining. I used to think it was just poker players that loved to complain. It is a much larger group.
