One of my better BJ hands that day, I withdrew $12,500 .. had about $600 left in the account, took that up to $28,000 .. withdrew.. went back next day, felt bad for them so I gave it all back ( LOL ). Not that funny actually.

It started with 3 hands of $500, one split, three doubles, dealer bust.

Of course I get an email the next day stating I can now play up to $1500 per hand.

Grand bank casino? How did you get paid by them?
Winning a few hands is easy, getting paid by them is a whole different story.
BTW, what's dealer's showing card? Is it 10 or 5? Even it's a 5, why on earth did you double your 8 vs 5?
Are you sure you can afford to bet this much? Since you don't play by basic strategy, it is very likely you will loose them all quickly.
I'd suggest you to STOP PLAYING NOW before it's too late.

jpm has been spending a lot of time in the forumjpm has been spending a lot of time in the forum
It would have been a 5 showing and it looks like he split 4's on the rightmost hand, then doubled.

Although still incorrect, assuming it's a 5, he would have been better off doubling the A,8 vs 5, since this play is only half as bad as doubling a 4,4 vs 5. The former costing him about $14 in EV, the latter $28.

And betting $1500 on a $13000 bankroll, representing less than 9 units, is a pretty high risk-of-ruin. Losing $28000 back really pains me.

Anyway, fortyoz, I hope at least you learn BS before you play more. And set a loss-limit! You have alot of guts, that's for sure.

Some scammers are going to use all your winning screenshots and lie
to casinos that they won and demand payment!
This is one "Great" topic.

Good god!!!!!! You guys are like a pack of hungry wolves, cut the guy some slack. He played the hand the way he wanted to play it. Basic strategy is a good guide to haow the game works. I understand BS and play it for the most part. I think I would have split the 4's as well. Why???? Because its MY MONEY, once you start paying the mans bills then you can tell him what to do with his money and gambling strategy. As far as telling him to stop playing until he learns BS is a little harsh IMO. He played, had fun, and won. He shared a good experience with us, and did NOT ask for advice. Let me be the one to say GREAT HAND. Fantastic win. Good luck the next time you play too

The issue is not about splitting the pair of 4s which is correct play. The problem is that he doubled 8 v dealer 5 which is the wrong play. I personally am of the opinion that winning with bad play encourages bad play and should therefore be frowned upon. On the other hand, good play should always be rewarded (especially for me )

btw don't to try and emulate this win at home. Its Playtech BJ.............

Doubling on the 8 is questionable and of course not a good play according to basic strategy, but I was hoping for the bust, if I could have split those second pair of 4's I would have done it too

Also, forgot to mention I play a bit progressively, yes they were big bets for the bank roll but I was on a roll, and took it up to $28k, the secret is to back down when you hit a losing streak, but I often don't and end up getting hurt.
