Depends on whether zman was playing 4-hand VP or 1-hand VP. If 4-hand (which i suspect as most casinos wont let you go that high a stake on 1 hand) it would be $20k

so

chance for each hand is:

1 - (46/47 * 45/46) = 1 - 45/47 = 2/47 = 0.04255

So your return is either a guaranteed 225 per hand, or

0.0425 * 1250 = 58

probability of pair in remaining cards (giving 5-of-a-kind) * 75
= (40/47 (not k, j, 2) * 3/46) + (2 * 3/47 * 2/46) *75 = 0.06106 * 75 = 4.58

probability of two suited cards spread no more than 4 (giving straight flush) * 45 (roughly 1/13) = 1/13 * 45 = 3.46

probability of not getting one of the hands above (giving a guaranteed 4-of-a-kind) * 20 = .82 * 20 = 16.4

So you lose 142 coins by tossing the KQ. And given that this is 4-play, that's 568 coins - which would be a $284 mistake.

You can simply use the "analyze" feature. The wild royal has a guaranteed value of 225 coins on each line, whereas the expected value of holding the 3 deuces is only 84.75 coins/line.

I would've definitely chucked the KQ and just held the deuces. Not because of any great mathematics or probability, but because I'm a crazy reckless fool!
