    I had in mind to meet the huuuge wagering requirements of 8000$
    and this just did not pass my mind. I guess the payout would be a little
    more, wouldn't it?

    you should always play maximum coins on video poker games, even if it means the denomination you play is lower. 5 coins @ $1 is way better than 1 coin at $5 as the paytables invariably are more generous for maximum coins. With slots it doesn't generally matter unless you are playing a Progressive Jackpot game where the progressive is only usually payable on maximum coins.
