Everyone knows himself what is better for him.
To gamble you must be 18. You are therefore by definition an adult when you gamble. To say "I am adult and know what I'm doing" is to say that adulthood equals balanced gambling behaviour by definition - it doesn't. You may, or may not, know what you're doing, but the fact of your adulthood doesn't come into it. If it did, there would be no problem gamblers. One hears this justification a lot, and it's simply incorrect.
I would add the various incarnations of Intercasino to that. Maybe not capitalised to 2 billion, but no chance whatsoever of a payment default, plus they carry single deck blackjack in the event you want a switch to tables. Comps are marginally tighter for BJ, but still adequately good.Originally Posted by thelawnet

LOL.
I asked one of the MG affy managers recently about the lack of quality Microgaming games. He said "it would be because they aren't profitable". Well, somehow Cryptologic and Playtech get away with two and one quality games respectively without running into the profitability issue, so you'd think Microgaming could manage it.
But in fact, it's the opposie: they had one - SD BJ.
They removed it.

None of those other platforms have autoplay. I guess it's all about actual hold rather than theoretical edge.Originally Posted by caruso
I'm sure plenty of people play single deck blackjack badly.
So microgaming might take the same average percentage as other sites - maybe less - due to their software helping the player. For instance, you will make mistakes playing double bonus poker playing a Crypto, but not at Microgaming (they have autohold).
Admittedly the single deck blackjack is still available in some sites without autoplay, but I think it's not part of the normal package.
Actually if you really want your low HA single deck blackjack, go to Microgaming instant casinos. I think they all offer it.
Over the weekend Ladbrokes were offering +0.17% player edge play, because they had 0.3% comps on all table games.
Pretty nice if you like that sort of thing.
I looked at WH's DB VP and I did not see a very good paytable at all. It paid 10 for a 3 of kind, short paid the 4 aces too.
Cryptologic DB VP (WH included) is a "positive expectation" game at casinos where you get 0.1% cashback. The only positive expectation game on Crypto or MG for that matter. Pays 99.64% if memory serves me correctly, plus the 0.1% cashback as you wager gives 100.064% - you just need a hefty bankroll!Originally Posted by trkwak
It achieves this by shortening on 3oak and Aces but increasing the RF to 4200, 4 x 2s,3s or 4s to 450 and 2 Pairs paying 10 instead of MG's 5. The only VP game i know of online that has better odds is iNetBet's Joker Poker - another high variance game, but with 100.17% P.E. in multiplay.

This screenshot is something that happens only in most people's dreams - but you still have to score something during the free spins!
... and I was getting ready to post this in Worst or Nightmare screenshots... but somehow that lucky 11th spin (I had drawn an Ace) produced this huge finale...
