I totally disagree about using max. For instance...When I was in
AC..most ppl play whatever the maxcoins are like 3 for a 3 coiner, 2 for a 2 coiner but I find that the machines hit more if you dont. You may not hit as big but I did lots of tests. I played this one 3 coiner machine and didnt hit so I decided to play 2 coins instead ( I normally dont do that). Guess what? I got hit after hit, played 3 coins, got nothing , went back to 2 and hit. Its all about what a person wants. I wanted keep playing so it was in my best interest not to play max coins. Of course I would like to play max all the time but sometimes you gotta be realistic and test out the machines to see how "they" work (each machine is different)
There's this one machine, triple sevens at the Trop and everytime I won on it , I was on 2 coins (its not the machine I won on this trip on a previous page). They all have a mind of their own. Would you rather win $250 playing 2 coins or losing all of your money playing 3 coins and not hitting? The real odd thing I noticed (since Ive been playing online) I noticed this trip is there is a different "spin" between 2 and 3 coins, they spin faster or land in a different way if you know what I mean. Just because you hit on 2 doesnt mean you would of win if you played 3
all slots are different. on almost all 3 reel machines you must play the max coins. top prize may be 500 one coin, 1000 two coins, 10,000 3 coins. there is absolutley no advantage to playing less coins. the penalty for not playing max is huge. however almost all the new video slots(less progressives) it does NOT matter. top payout is simply x your bet. 1 coin might be 500x, 3 coins 1500x, 5 coins 2500x, etc... most video poker is the same way. 4 coin royal pays 1000coins, 5coins pays 4000. insane not to play max. there are exceptions like bonus dueces wild where the royal is relative to your bet. i think joker poker is the same way but i cant recall off the top of my head. i'm pretty sure it is 800x your bet. babs the system that has worked for you is just coincidence. there is no way to "fool" a slot machine. i am of the belief that you stick with what works and what is fun for you so i'm not gonna tell ya to change your ways but please pay attention to the top payouts and be more selective of how you employ your system. if not you are increasing the house edge and, as far as i'm concerned, they have enough money.
i consider myself a big "player" not a big "gambler". there is a big difference...
