Million dollar question, if you find the answer then let me know

Conversion is all about ease of making the deposit and how the site looks.

You visit a Casino that is simple to use like Totesport or 32Red and it's fairly straight forward, but if you go somewhere like Victor Chandler who, quite literally have the worst website I have ever seen, people are just going to think Fook that and walk away
Got a Casino Bonus deal? I'll beat it PM me for help.

A couple of comments (from a players' perspective) regarding other 'reasons'. Your poll sounds more like a rant, actually ...

After registering, I used to always email the casino CS -- at least once, sometimes twice -- with a question. If CS didn't reply in a timely fashion, or replied something not pertaining to what I asked, or gave incorrect information, that casino probably wouldn't ever see my money.

Perhaps the method the player wants to use to deposit isn't listed.

Perhaps the player re-read the T&C and didn't like *insert pet peeve of your choice here* -- max payout amount per week, your waiting time before WD are processed, etc. You name it.. it's different for every player.
Alice: But I don't want to go among mad people.
The Cat: Oh, you can't help that. We're all mad here. I'm mad. You're mad.

In most MGS casinos I was just tired of waiting every game to be downloaded.

I think you come across quite rude and I wonder exactly what your angle is. Are you a casino owner/ affiliate? I can't see why you would be so "passionate" about it otherwise.

Theres quite a few reasons why I would do it.

Sometimes I go for a casino, register an account and then whilst its downloading check reviews sometimes they are bad so I dont bother.

Some I go to claim the free chip, play the chip and if the slots play quite tight I wont deposit.

Others (namely playtech's) I am pushed out of wanting to deposit by their support. If I login and they message me trying to get me to deposit without being able to have a look round first then they are gone. Likewise if I get a free chip and they do it since I want to play my free chip, then decide, not have some desparate chat support nagging me into a deposit before I even get to play it.

hmm rude!!! listen this excercise is out of curiosity .

    A) yes i work in the gambling industry

    B) If my post offends you then flag it or dont write anything that is of no use

    c) if you feel the desperate need to place a post as you have then make it interesting and give your point of view !! why it is you would visit a site go through all the process and not end up making a deposit

    D) If you also work in the industry then you seriously ask stupid o questions & if you a player you should be excited that marketers etc.. are looking to listen to people opinion and see how it is that we can make online gaming a better place for all,

To everyone else besides Australian sensitivity,

I would like to thank you for the posts its great to see the amount of responses and involvement .

To get players as well as brand marketers and other members of both online and land based casino input can only change online casinos for all and for the better

Many casinos have fallen away because they focus to hard on their needs, costs ect.. and do not focus on what actually makes online casino somewhat the Great industry that it is.

On a last note just before i got a promotion a player said to me that online casino has changed her life in many ways because most hosts go over and beyond to bring a personal touch , in that for that player being sick as she was and with no family it was her last life enjoyment

so thumbs up to all the players and people out their trying to render a great service

    1) The offers look very good, so you register. Only then do you become aware that things were not what they seemed, usually because the advertising was misleading, or made exaggerated claims.

One example is the Microgaming "free money" offer. This is usually "get $2000 absolutely FREE, and get to keep your winnings".
At first sight this looks very good, and whatever you win, you keep, even if only as a bonus.
Having registered, you then discover that you can only "win", say, $100, and that it has to be wagered 30x, AND you have to deposit. Thus, a fair bit of the initial offer is not actually true.
Having got this far, players may feel they have been "set up" for a scam, so will NOT go on to deposit, even if they do end up playing their free money for "shits & giggles".

Another common example is the introductory free chip. This is usually a small amount, sometimes $10 or less, and MOST players end up losing it all.
A few however, just get lucky, and manage to win enough early on to be worth withdrawing. This is when they experience the operator doing their best to NOT pay out on the free chip, often for reasons not mentioned in the initial offer, but that are buried somewhere in pages and pages of "smallprint". This makes the player think the site is a scam, and that every time they win, they will face a battle to get paid, thus they will walk away, rather than risk real money with a first deposit.

Of course, you have those players who make a career out of playing ONLY the introductory free chips, and take any winnings generated. This group never intended to deposit anyway, so there is nothing the operator could have done differently to convert such players into regular depositors.

Apart from these, there will be players who fully intended to deposit, but either they find that for some "technical reason" they just can't, or they become aware of some negative information that scares them away in the time between registering and putting together their first deposit.

Experienced players tend to check much of this out before they even register, and will simply not register if they don't like what they see, so the operator has no idea that they have put these players off.

    Yes, I'm in this group.
I expect to find all the key information I need on their website. If it's not there, I'm gone!
If I have to contact the casino to ask ANYTHING, them they are not doing their job properly IMO.

I also totally agree with Mousey; pop-up chat windows are a REAL turn off. Even the real person ones, but especially the bot ones!
