In regards to the spam, we were once bad with the spamming but have now changed. I can assure that the emails that were sent were not spammy, they were only the regular conversion emails that every other casino will send if you have not deposited, that's how online casinos work.

Again I will be more than happy to try and help your girlfriend out, but I will need to speak with her and not anyone else on her behalf.

    Kind Regards,
    Rachel

This is one of the reasons WHY the 888 brand has so many people prepared to believe the worst. You WERE passing out our details to "spammers", and then when challenged said you were not guilty.

There have been numerous other issues where players have been lead into a trap by CS agents agreeing to something, but there being no records kept, and the agreement suddenly being voided, usually when the player wins.

This story seems to suggest that nothing has changed YET, even if the intention is to "clean up your act".

One of the problems is that you may be passing players' 888 email address to your "white label" operators, who then try to get the player to sign up. This produces a load of mailers for casinos that are NOT the one signed up as, and are not obviously anything to do with 888.

This is then yet another trap for players, as actually RESPONDING to these invitations, and signing up at "too many" white label operations has lead to players having their winnings confiscated.

In this case, the CS agent said the spins were available on the next deposit, but did NOT say how to claim them, leaving the player to think it would "just happen".

In all honesty, it SHOULD "just happen", this is 2011 for goodness sake!

To make matters worse, it's "talk to the hand" time when this player subsequently tries to sort out the problem, and she decides "enough is enough", and asks that her account be closed. The advice from her boyfriend, that initially she was prepared to ignore and see for herself, having been VINDICATED.
Then, it seems CS are just not interested, and far from closing her account, just cut her off. This IS rude, casinos MUST close an account when requested - it is one of the "golden rules".
If CS cannot close an account through chat, they should say so, and advise how it has to be done, rather than just terminate the chat.

For the sake of 20 free spins, ones initially promised by chat, and which otherwise the player would not have known about, they have now lost a customer. This is bad for the company's "bottom line", irrespective of what players think about this story.

I think with the fact Ladbrokes are looking to acquire 888, that they ( 888 ) have over the past year or so cleaned up their act considerably.

I have visited certain erotic sites online (for many known as "porn") at some occasions. Pornography is one of the biggest industry in the world, so I am not ashamed okei

But anyway. I am wondering why 888.com often comes up as "sponsors" of these sites. It has happens several times that a link is opened automatic and an "special offer" from 888.com has appeared, with a link to their "main site".

I do not visit these kinds of site very often, so with my limited visiting time, we can only imagine how many "porn-sites" that 888.com is sponsoring. My question is why do 888.com wants to be connected to these kinds of sites?

I have never seen a big casino, except 888.com who wants to be profiled like this.

My thought is that a serious casino would not be connected to these kinds of erotic sites. I might be wrong. Maybe it is quite normal in the business for all I know. But I have never seen casinos like Centrebet, Unibet, 3Dice, 32Red or any other big and serious casinos be linked with porn.

Generally, this way of promoting a casino is a warning signal in my opinion.

Well it's obvious the player has Had Enouth so let's hope Rachel can sort it.

I also agree there are two sides to every story so it will be interesting to see the result.

We need to make sure we have enouth evidence before we rush to judgment.

I also believe it is ILLEGAL under the gambling regulations of many jurisdictions to use SEX to sell gambling. As the say in the drinks trade "don't mix your drinks" or you will suffer one HELL of a hangover, this is a case of "Don't mix your VICES". None of the main vices should use another to promote itself.

I would expect Ladbrokes to end these arrangements pretty soon, so better enjoy that PORN before the sites run out of money, and disappear

    hehe...it has already been enjoyed....indeed

Well, I don`t want to be known as the PornMeister in this forum , I just thought that the ethical side of the issue is a bit interesting. Especially if it also raises questions about legality as you did mention.

Glad the rep came on to try and help, I ask my g/f to come on and try and sort this out, But she wants nothing more to do with them, and she admitted to me that she was rude more than she let on to me, But she says the chat was only hang up after asking account closed, Regardsless of how rude she got, Which of course is never the best way to sort problems out, It dont change the fact that they lied or gived wrong info and then acted stupid when she tried to sort problem out, she said she got rude only after seeing there were not helping or even understanding what she was trying to tell them. She informed them that she already made the first deposit and the offer was only on the first deposit, so them asking her to deposit again to get them would mean she was breaking T&C if she took them making a second deposit. Becasue that would mean, she was given frees spins for the second deposit and not first.

I am sure there was maybe some misunderstanding, But she said that she explained everything to them and she felt they were not listening becasue there response was the same, They wanted more money before they would fix the problem.

As she dont want to come on and make a account to talk to the rep, The case is Closed.

I really do hope 888 clean there act up thou.

Most of the porn sites have affiliate deals with 888 from days gone by, I doubt they push this like they used to. Back in the days when both were considered 'taboo' they were just hedging their bets - if you don't want the porn, try the Casino instead. Similar demographic of people, so it made sense.

Either that or 888 have the worst link buyers in the world
