    Exclamation Casinomeister 2009 Awards announced

Worst Software - It's a tossup for me between Rival and TopGame.

Best New Game This Year - Toss up for me between the Stickshifter slot at 3Dice and Hellboy. Love em both. Stickshifter is completely original and Hellboy is just a really cool game IMO.
That's all I can think of for now....really looking forward to Bryan's choices. It's always a great read.
The awards are out, so no more guessing! But you have some good point here I would like to comment.

The no affiliates strategy from 3Dice is interesting and very beneficial.
Also I have never received any affiliate spam promoting 3Dice.
But I guess their unique software gives them that competition advantage
    compared to MG casino #143.

I like Rival software, and it seems your problems are with casino managers and not the software provider?
Unfortunately there was no best game award this year. I would also have voted
for Hellboy IF they had replaced the boring 'picking' feature with something more interesting. So Stickshifter would have been my pick.

Well another great read Mr Meister Have to say I pretty much concur with them all.

Most dissapointing for me is that a high street institution like William Hill just can't seem to get it right and Microgaming, once highly regarded, have clearly let their guard slip. But otherwise, the rogues gallery is a list of familiar names.

Reading that bit on Virtual and the non-payment of a $1.5mill jackpot I still find it amazing that RTG are just happy to let them get away with it. RTG owe Club World and iNetbet BIG TIME! That guy from the software provider who stepped up on Heroes to pay the player sets a great example.

I agree with this completely Simmo! I remember and I am sure Jonathan ( From Club World ) does also, the first time I met him in Amsterdam a few years back. He was taken aback that I would not promote any RTG Casinos back then. However thanks to the likes of Club World and a few other solid RTG's, I am pleased to be able to have them on my site and also play there as well. Well deserving of an award this year.

RTG do owe the likes of Club World a lot, just for helping improve their reputation.

So what's the justification for this?

"When she signed up at Joyland, they had a policy of a max payout of 9k per month. Do the math – $4.2 million will take around 39 years to pay out. That’s one hell of a long time - who knows if there will even be an Internet in 39 years, much less Joyland casino? Personally I think 39 years is absurd and indefensible. I don't think any player would consider this acceptable.
    "

"*Note: One good thing that did come out of this was that the Accredited Casinos at Casinomeister are now required to pay out progressives in full (excluding Wager Works casinos). No funkified whacky crap in Casinomeisterland. "

    (emphasis mine.)

The Wagerworks MegaJackpot most definitely qualifies as funkified whacky crap.

I explained this some time ago. This has to do with IGT/Wagerworks and their limitations on paying progressive jackpots in lump sums. It has nothing to do with the casino operations.

It would be nice to see them change this though.

Actually they DO have an affy program - but it was only offered to a handful of affiliates (including myself, and Simmo I believe).
They only pay 15% - the lowest of any program I know - but I'm still happy to list them on my sites even though I've only had 2 players sign-up in 3 years...!
From the players perspective, they are a class act.

I was glad to see 3 Dice win some awards as well as Club World, both are great for the U.S player, i was hoping to see Jackpot Capital and Titan in it somewhere, maybe next year..............laurie

I must admit, i too was a little surprised to see that Titan has not won anything this year. I agree that AllStar is worthy of best new casino, but Titan is also an extremely close runner, in my opinion anyway.
