3 Dice today. Looking for a shoulder to cry on...

I did not play much in 3 Dice as of lately (was low on funds), and finally decided to give it another try today, to see if my lousy luck has changed for the better.
Alas... I do not know what I want to do more - to kill Enzo or to kill myself 4 deposits, totalling of EUR1700 gone in about an hour. Here are the stats I requested and received:

Game In Out Bets Average Bets Percentage
    Poker_new 471€ 417€ 269 1.75€ 88.61%
    FortuneFalls 3123€ 1769€ 811 3.85€ 56.66%
    BlackJack_Classic 1173€ 849€ 81 14.48€ 72.38%

    It just hurts so bad....

A try at 1700 Euros? Would have been much better depositing 170 Euros just for testing the waters.

Sorry to hear that, I think it might be better to stop playing for a while and sort out your finances if you can... as continuing to gamble will just drop you into deeper shit.. if you are already in deep shit go to a citizens advice centre if you have one nearby and get some help to sort out debts... it won't wave a magic wand, but it's a start...

Maybe you need to change your style of play. Practise a new strategy in fun mode for a bit without risking anymore of your own money? Or maybe just quit altogether and do something completely different, and if you come back just deposit a small amount to test the water...

I think the slots are high variance. I'm not really a big slots player, I just dabble in them every now and again, preferring table games.

I've only been a member of 3Dice for a few days but my experiences of the games so far have been good.

For blackjack what strategy are you using?

All blackjacks online are streaky I have noticed. Sometimes they seriously suck, and you can't get a win in edgeways, cause the dealer seems to get good hands pretty much constantly and you're always getting dealt crappy low hands like 15/16. When you're in this situation the only thing you can do is lose. It is frustrating and painful to be sure.

Don't use martingales, you can't beat any online blackjack with those, because it is quite common to lose more than 7 times in a row every session, and using martingales will either cause you to hit table limits or lose your entire bankroll. If you use a martingale only use a 4 or 5 step one and then bail out if you don't win...

It is better to use a strategy that sticks with the minimum bet when you're on the losing streak, and then up the bets on the winning streak, this doesn't always work, like today it went pear shaped for me... but I find it works better than the martingale. I have lost using this strategy also but at least the losses aren't so big.

Blackjack is a fickle game. I have noticed sometimes you can lose 11 games in a row, win 2 and then lose another 5 in a row, win 3 then lose 8.... which makes it impossible to win with any strategy. Unless you have ESP and bet extremely high when you know you're going to win. Sometimes with blackjack nothing works and its best to stop altogether and leave well alone or you'll end up losing everything.

If you find any strategy isn't working on any game, it is best to set yourself a losing limit, for me it is roughly $25 and I also set a winning target for me to make +$25... whichever I hit first I stop. You probably like to place larger bets than me, so I don't know what your target is... but if you hit either the negative or positive target stop... this is hard, as often it can spoil the enjoyment of playing, but is safer.

I am a low roller at the moment, as I am out of work and due to chronic illness can't afford to go crazy with my bets... but even as a low roller when I lose it hurts as I only have one stack to play with which I won't be replenishing unless I find a treasure chest...

All I have left at the moment is what is in my neteller account and some savings (which aren't for gambling, they are for keeping us alive whilst I pray for some more work.) Once all the funds have been bled dry from my neteller account, that's me done. No more gambling... I will live off my savings from that moment on and if I don't find work during that time, once my savings are gone, I will have to go on the street and try busking again...

incapacity benefit isn't enough to support a family, due to stupidly high food prices and energy bills... at the moment playing blackjack is keeping me floating... but once my neteller account is empty, which I guess will happen sooner or later then I will be dropped in shit creek without a paddle...

If gambling is bleeding you dry is best to stop, or only play with a set amount you can afford each month. This is also stuff everyone knows, is just hard to put it into practise, but we all need to, else it is easy to slip into financial ruin.

Maybe just play in fun mode to practise new strategies or play the free tournaments... so you can play the games but without risking anymore money... and practise out new techniques... till you feel confident enough to try again... but don't risk large amounts of money if you do, it isn't worth it...

My brother told me about a friend of his who got drunk and played blackjack online one evening, he started placing stupidly high bets and ended up losing £7000 in one night. He is an accountant, you would think he would know better

That is absolutely brutal .. .. at 3.85/spin its a bit going for gold (and striking mud instead), but it still remains very unlucky. I'm going to see if there's something extra I can do on top of what I did earlier today. Be a bit more gentle tho, with only a couple of hundred of spins, the risk of not hitting those features is not unrealistic.

I'll be keeping my fingers crossed,

    Kindest Regards,

..have you thought of having your deposits limited? i had mine set to 1xxx.00 a week and it has worked well for me, one of the best things enzo ever did for me.i have been where your at but not to the point of killing someone or killing myself or the suicide thread awhile back, gambling might seem to be a problem for you if you continue to have these thoughts, bitching and moaning over losing , i can relate to and thats normal for any human being , i wish you would think about the option of limited deposits, you can still have fun and win, it makes you think more clearly about how much to spend and how you may want to place the size of your bets. i mean no disrespect at all toward you just some advice that might be helpful in the future...........laurie

    Hi Fleur,

I know that feeling although not to that extent or amount. Please hang in there and don't succumb to "the chase" OR the loss. (as I had told my boys when we had hard times.. all the money in the world couldn't buy the love we had.) and it may seem like no condolence right now, but I hope you see that is true. You are too precious!!! As is any human life, to succumb to a huge loss like that by taking your own life.. Please do not do that!!

I know how it feels when you think that "hit is coming" and "your due".. but it never seems to come. You can see the screen shots in the winner screenie thread and think "wow, that's one way to make alot of money.. looks easy"..... but it's not.

I have found when my luck turns sour at one place, I take my small ($20 - $25 deposits) elsewhere. And so far I am doing very well!
If you are now in a situation of financial hardship because of your chase, then lay low for a while because gambling is not the solution to financial problems. IMHO Most of the time it's the cause of them!!!

I truly respect you immensely and want you to hold on and remember that when the fun is gone it may be time for a break, or time to move on from there.
I myself ONLY play tourneys there, now.
You have given much needed intelligent advise to so many here. please remember that!

Feel free to PM me if you'd like.. my shoulder is huge (for a little skinny woman) but I have no problem letting anyone in need cry on it.

    ((((Fluer-De-Lis)))))))) big big hugs hon!!!!
