    Unhappy Let the winner beware

I can't understand why some casino's can use a B.S. rule ( only one player to an account ) My wife and I both played on BlackLight casino on an account that I had registered. We both liked the games but only have one computer so sometimes she played and sometimes I would. We both had some luck and at different times won $800. & $900. we were paid in a reasonable time. My wife would live chat with them often, she had a streak & won $1800. but in one chat she said " my husband & I " while the money was still pending, that day I got an email saying that I had violated rules that state only one person may register & play on any acct. They voided the winnings completely! The fianance div. stated that it had been brought to there attention that my wife was playing on my acct. I sent them an email stating that was really Nonsence & just an excuse for them not to pay off on a legitimate win, anyone on a computer could have everyone in the town over and play on their Acct. there isn't any way for them to know! Take that to the bank!

This just seems crazy, its enough to make anyone lose complete confidence in the Online Gaming Industry when things like that happen....you know sometimes I come back from the pub with a friend and we both chip in £20 or so and play BJ online.....we each play a few hands each before allowing the other to have a go....I suppose I am guilty to of sharing it account.

Does anyone here support such stupid enforcements?? To me it is clearly just avoidance of paying out a winner.

Sad to say unless you have permission to have another account, or another person use your account, you have broken the number 7 and below 7 item #5 Rule on their website...it is posted, not just once but twice that I can find. I know this does not ease the pain of loss...but now you know to get permission to open another account if you both want to play.
The player will not allow any third party or person, including and without limitation to any minor, to use his/her account to place wagers or participate in the games in any way. In such a case, BlackLights Casino has the full discretion to terminate Player's account, and any and all winnings in excess of Player's original deposit (including those in any account on any casino using the TopGame platform) may be void. Player is fully responsible for any taxes and fees applicable to winnings resulting from use of the software. If winnings are taxable in the player's jurisdiction, the player is required to keep track and report the winnings to the appropriate authorities. Personal identity and details of all members will remain confidential. BlackLights Casino will not report wagering information on behalf of any member. BlackLights Casino reserves the right to cancel your membership at any time without notice. Deposits made into your account may be immediately credited back to you. In addition, BlackLights Casino reserves the right, in its total discretion, to void any winnings and withhold any balance in any BlackLights Casino account under any of the following circumstances
What you should have done is request another account for you spouse. Some casinos allow this. My husband and I have many double accounts that were approved prior to wagering.

I am truly sorry for you that this happened. But they have that clause on the first page of their T&C's.
In addition, BlackLights Casino reserves the right, in its total discretion, to void any winnings and withhold any balance in any BlackLights Casino account under any of the following circumstances: 5. If you have allowed or permitted (purposely or not) another party to play on your BlackLights Casino account.
Item 5 right below 7 also states it under the sub heading...

I really do feel for the OP

It all just seems so one way now with Online casinos, some will use any excuse possible not to pay, your country, your staking patern, the games you choose, if you try to withdraw before WR, if the beleive the way you play is "not in the spirit of the game" (one assumes the spirit of the game is to keep playing until you lose everything)
Never has it been more important to choose carefully where you play, do research and labour through T&C small print with a fine toothcomb. One small error and everything is forfeited.
I will only EVER play at sites I know and trust 32RED, BET365 and VIRGIN....all of whom I reccomend esp 32 RED whose customer service and integrity is second to none.

I can really understand your frustration. On the other side, if the T & C is clear, then I also can understand why the casino is giving you this reaction. It you where in a casino (in a "real" physical Casino...like in Las Vegas), and you gave your wife some of your money (from your pocket) witch originaly comes from a joint account. She wins a big jackpot. Who would be the owner of the money. Your wife because she was playing, or yourself because it was your money from your pocket. Or both. It would probably be your wife who was the owner of the jackpot, since she was the player. But this does not work in a online casino.

In my opinion, the registered account owner in a online casino, must also be the one who actually plays. Otherwise there would be a lot of cases where people would argue about who really owns the winnings.

The "mistake" you did in this case, was to tell the casino that your wife was the one who was playing. I dont have a wife, but I do have a friend. If I told my casino that he was playing with my account, they would of course react.

    The best of luck

When my husband and I went to Atlantic City and hit the Red White Blue $2 3 line machine and caught the jackpot...my husband asked me to claim the money when the lady came. Once she got there she actually asked for my husbands ID even though we switched seats and I wa sitting in the one for the machine that hit.

We asked her if I could claim it and she said as long as my husband was ok with it, she was too...so, even B&M casinos KNOW who won it by the card you use and the "eye in the sky" that watches you play.

Again, I am very sorry...but the casino is in the right on this one.

Stupid rule. I can see why it's in place, to prevent people abusing bonuses, but legitimate play outside of bonuses should be fine.

Sure, stupid rule, but barkingly lame application of it. I mean really, "we found some forum posts from a few years back where the player is interested in bots".

If the player had used bots at their casino then they might have a leg to stand on, but they didn't even suggest that that was the case. All they had were "forum posts"!?!

So, simply because your wife said "my husband and I", they assumed this meant you were both PLAYING on the account. This only proves your wife was using CHAT.

I bet if she had said "My husband and I are having problems depositing" they would NOT have locked the account, but tried to help your wife find another way to deposit.

It's a pointless rule in this kind of situation, and what this rule is REALLY about is misuse of money, money laundering, etc. For example, wife playing with husband's money on his account without permission; or deposit method in wife's name, account in husband's name.

It is probably down to you having already having had 2 payouts, and they have found an excuse to void your third. They probably know that now you will NEVER play there again, so there is no incentive to waive the rule and pay.

There really IS no way they can know in this type of situation, it is usually a "loose toungue" following a loose slot that gives these casinos an excuse not to pay out.

If you have this arrangement elsewhere, contact the casino to formalise it in writing, but NOT when you have a withdrawal pending
